I Started playing guitar 12 years ago. I was 11 at the time. This was one of the first difficult songs I tried to learn. It was way beyond my level I had only picked up the guitar a few months prior. +Matthew Cross I play probably 10-15 minutes a day when I'm really busy with school and work but more like 4 to 5 hours a day when I'm on break like right now :) I started playing guitar in late July of this year and can play bits and pieces of what he's playing here... my goal is to be able to play this whole thing in the next month of practice. My advice-- just keep with it no matter how frustrating it gets. I still have a really tough time with bar chords but I don't give up. That's the key. Persistence and lots of practice.
