Eduardo Nuñez Don’t you mean after Cliff’s death? I don’t feel too much pity for James or Lars because they were complete assholes to Jason. Reducing his bass to where is barely audible in the entire album of And Justice for All… Hazing him beyond belief. Hazing is one thing of welcoming him to the band but doing it for 15 years straight would be enough for me to punch both of them in the face. This is usually an incident or case of “you don’t know what you had until it’s gone”. I also can’t forgive them for not letting Jason experiment or be free to contribute to the band.

There was just a different energy and aura about their music back then, especially live...they were the biggest and best band in the world in the 90's! It's not about Burton vs Newsted vs Trujillo. I grew up playing Kirk's parts in the Cunning stunts videos. These videos bring me back to being a kid jamming for hours and hours along to this video, times were much simpler then. When Kirk comes in with the Ernie Ball Volume pedal and those swells, it's what makes Metallica amazing. They take you on a journey with their music. Certain pieces from the past literally can take you to a different place if you close your eyes and let the music speak. Metallica forever!
