I am NOT Jason, I merely found these videos and have uploaded them for your viewing pleasure. I hope he does not mind. Jason is playing a Music Man JP7.

@TylerEightString ASP used a weird tuning where the normal 6 strings are actually tuned higher and the low 7th is dropped - caused many a high string to break.
@MorganReidguitar13 жыл бұрын
@Geddenon it's definitely a sound... but its not a technique. it just playing two notes simultaneously also known by some ppl as a chord (many ppl dont consider 2 notes being played together a chord) soo lets just call it an interval.. it's a minor second interval!!!!! in other words playing one note then half a step (one fret) away playing that next note... but to play them simultaneously you have to stretch a bit and play it on the string below... for example 16 fret B 12 fret high e!

So his what, 16 or 17 years old here? Let that sink in...
@ChilisauLP8 жыл бұрын
does that really make s difference?
@BlakeMullens8 жыл бұрын
Kinda yeah, its extremely impressive, the fact that 90% of adults cant play anywhere near this well and that Jason was still a minor here is pretty damn impressive, hardly anyone has this level of dedication, let alone a teenager. This is all my opinion, of course. (I'm 16 and not nearly this good).
@ChilisauLP8 жыл бұрын
Blake Mullens Well might surprise you, but age doesn't really matter. As a kid new things feel natural to do faster but as an adult you are able to practice much more efficiently. What really makes a difference is how much and how efficiently you practice. If you start to play at 12 and practice to a metronome for an hour everyday you'll be a pretty good player at 16. But if you waste 10 or 20 years noodling around once a week you won't be playing Dragonforce or Dream Theater stuff any time soon :D
@alexisXcore938 жыл бұрын
yeah because every 12 yo kid has the patience or dedication to sit with a metronome playing guitar everyday?
@ChilisauLP8 жыл бұрын
alexisXcore93 Not every kid deos. As I said, patience comes with age. Dedication is another thing. I started to play drums as a five-year old and never lost it since, but that just depends on your character and personality.
@deadmetal712 жыл бұрын
You're right. I'm surprised he joined them, thought he'd want to do better. Though I suppose it's not too easy to find an open guitar spot in an established band, he probably hastily took the offer. I wonder how long he will be with them.
