I have to admit, before we figured out who he was and what he was about....I really liked the Devlin was around to be all protective and flirty with Sam. Somebody needed to boost her up a lil bit. I'm not sayin she shouldn't take the hit for what she did. But EVERYONE was dumping on her....Lizzie NEVER got that treatment and THERE WERE times when she deserved it.

Not saying Liz didn't deserve consequences, she did. But everything Sam did was out of vengeance and vindictiveness, while Liz's transgressions were out of misguided protection inclinations (toward Lucky) and fear (toward Jason). May be f'd up but it wasn't as bad in my book.

Liz was a liar and caused a whole lot of problems for Jason and Sam and caused them to break up so she deserved everything she got done to her.

@@justlina2769 Let's think about the human soul and the human heart. If you could take a step back from the debate and just think for a couple of minutes with us. Let's analyze Sam's actions objectively. She didn't do what she did out if vengeance or vindictiveness that is just what appeared to be for people that don't bother to walk in someone's else's shoes. At the time of the incidents Sam was suffering a breakdown. She was heartbroken. The one and only person she trusted in the whole world lied, cheated on her and betrayed her. Jason's actions broke her into a million pieces. She gave him everything she had unconditionally and what she received in return lies and betrayal. The truth is that any woman in Sam's shoes can't say without a shadow of a doubt how would they react to that kind of betrayal and the magnitude of the lies plus the emotional affair Sam was subjected to. Granted none of what we had mentioned justified Sam's actions or inaction whichever the case may be. But it could help us understand her state of mind at the time of the incidents. One thing is to have the intention to cause harm and another totally different is to be so broken that you don't know what exactly you are doing from one minute to the next. A good example of what we are talking about is the "battered women syndrome". It is very hard to explain but it is an affirmative defense that exists in our legal system in cases of Domestic Violence. We understand that this was not the case here but we just wanted to give an example of how in some instances normal behavior and rational go out the window when people we trusted and loved with everything we had break us for no good reason. What is really sad about the whole thing is that the writers portrait Sam's character as vindictive and out for vengeance when in reality she was a victim of what Jason and Elizabeth did to her. Let's remember that type of characterization is detrimental to all women because it doesn't place the blame accordingly and proportionally to all parties involved. Somehow, Sam the injured party got all the blame, her life threaten, she was cast away by everyone, treated like garbage by everyone especially by Jason who also blackmailed her into keeping on with his lies. While Jason and Elizabeth which were the cheaters, the liers and the ones who betrayed the trust that was placed on them escaped all judgements. How was that fair to Sam? And while in the subject how is that fair to women in general. By taking such stand, the writers showed us a lack of understanding and lack of interest in regards to women's point of view and perspective. Otherwise they would have never wrote said storyline from such a chauvinistic point of view. Finally, on a more personal note we took it upon ourselves to write about this subject because we are survivors of Domestic Violence. We understand how it feels to have your trust broken up to the point that you loose all sense of who you are and what are you doing. We understand the need to lash out because you loved unconditionally up to the point that it cost you the capacity to become a mother. We never acted the way Sam did but we certainly understand the impulse because behind it there is an unbearable pain and suffering that has no end. So, we truly believe that we can bring a new perspective to this type of discussion. We welcome your thoughts and opinions. Blessed be!

Reminds me of when Sam caught Patrick's dad drinking so Sam stopped him from performing Jason's brain surgery. Sam and Robin and Carly got Patrick to do it instead. Bet Jason remembers how encouraging Sam was to get him to do the surgery in the first place. JaSam history.

Shouldn't he have said, "Shouldn't girlfriends (who hide me away like i'm a dirty little secret, cause they can't handle the real me, or my life) be more encouraging. I'm not even upset at the story as much as i am with the slash and burn job they did on Sam to create it. if there was chemistry, it would not have been necessary.

So no Lizard it’s not a about you this time, although it was never about you, it was always about your child that’s the only reason Jason was with you and now that he knows he can’t be around his son, well he doesn’t want anything whatsoever to do with you.
