We have an interesting thought, Jason was investigating Dr. Devlin. So, why he didn't ask Elizabeth, Epiphany, Patrick or Robin? After all, they should know more about the Dr's dealings than a patient. But no, Jason went to his safe place, Sam. He went to his old partner. Jason went to the person he felt he could trust and confide in, Sam. His constant. Now, Sam is investigating on her own to help Jason. We know it's just a matter of time...the writers are following their formula. This is precisely what we have been saying all along, Sam and Jason are destined to be together. And that's how the writers since the very beginning intended for them to be. She is his Bonnie to his Clyde. They are unbreakable, inevitable, unstoppable and undeniable! Blessed be!

Sam was only helping Jason out with who shot Michael, she wasn't really interested in Dr Devlin. Liz on the other hand claims to love Jason, but she jumps at the chance to be with Lucky. Liz is jealous and pathetic and will never measure up to Sam.
