I beg to differ. Elizabeth put herself on the line multiple times to protect Jason. She saved his life after he was shot by getting him help and staying with him. She even got shot once. She shredded the file the police had on him. She was arrested for him. She went to Sonny to protect him. She fought with a lot of people and lied to protect him. It was Jason who kept pushing her away for her protection. But she did accept him. He broke up with her after Jake was kidnapped by the Russians. Liz always knew about Sonny and Jason's hidden occupations. Robin went to Sonny asking Sonny to let Jason go. Courtney couldn't stomach any of it. Sam helped Jason, until she got shot in the back. Then he pushed her away just like he did with Elizabeth.

Robin and Elizabeth covered for Jason many times, even put their careers in jeopardy. Elizabeth especially. Courtney always seem to find fault in all the men she was with. AJ (rightfully so) but later, Jason, Jax (whom she was barely married to when she became attracted to Nikolas), then she had issues with Nikolas. But she was right. Nikolas never got over Emily.

The thing I hated about Courtney and Jax is that they rushed so fast into letting someone carry a baby for them then got all pissed off when Liz was about to give them a child cause they couldn't get over their jealously Jax with looking after Liz which he should have backed off from her cause he became too attacted to a baby that wasn't even close to being born and Courtney who couldn't stop running into Nikolas every chance she got. She had no loyalty to any man she was with or to her brother who she called the cops on. This is the exact reason that he didn't want Courtney and Jason together cause he knew that she'd never be able to handle what they did and she did the exact thing he was trying to avoid.

Both of you are wrong... Yes, Courtney was Jason's wife, but Sonny is his family long before Courtney. Jason is big on family loyalty because Sonny taught him that years ago. Also Jason has referred Sonny as a father figure in his life, and that bond holds a place of loyalty in Jason's eyes. Courtney crossed a line that she couldn't take back because she should of understood what she was giving up by doing that.

And just like that Jason was done with Courtney. It was pretty simple, she never understood Jason's lifestyle and his line of work. She never understood what he did and who he was. Hence, it was impossible for her to love him and accept him unconditionally and without any judgements. For, Courtney was not equipped to stand by Jason and to support him. But most importantly, Jason needed Courtney to understand the value of loyalty towards family. That's a line that nobody can't cross from Jason's perspective. Jason needs a woman that could be his equal at all levels and that could be trusted implicitly and wholeheartedly. Something Jason could never do with neither Robin nor Courtney and much less with his one night stand, Elizabeth because they never accepted him or understood him or stood by him or supported him unconditionally without any judgements. To the contrary, what they all did repeatedly was to interfere in Jason's life, his business, tried to take away his choices, tried to make his decisions for him and tried to think for him. All of which he hated. In spite the fact, that Jason told all of them in many occasions to stop trying to control or to try to run his life for him. But as it happened neither of them listened. So, as it happened all of those relationships failed. Then, it stands to reason that none of those relationships were truly meant to be Jason's long lasting one true love or his soulmate. Otherwise things would have turned out to be totally different and Jason would have made some other choices and would have made other decisions. Like for instance, Jason chose to forgive Sam as much as she chose to forgive him. That's the very essence of true love and a soulmate. Which by the way is something Jason wasn't able to do with neither Carly, Robin nor Courtney. In each of those instances, Jason never forgot their betrayal and never trusted them the same way ever again. He transitioned those relationship into friendships. The truth of the matter is that once they betrayed him something broke inside of him and he could never go back to feel for neither one of them to the way he once felt. But with Sam was different since the very beginning when he fell madly and crazy in love with her. From the moment Jason fell for Sam, he knew he found his Bonnie to his Clyde. Simply put, Sam accepted him and loved him unconditionally exactly for who he was and what he did. And more to her advantage, just like Jason, Sam likes to live dangerously. She fits perfectly in his lifestyle. Which is something Jason never had with anyone else in his life. But most importantly, she thrives in it. Besides the fact that she is an asset for Jason because she is so fierce, capable, understanding, quick thinker, strong and can hold her own in a gun fight. Sam is the only one that has been able to give Jason a real home, a place where he truly belong. A safe place to be himself. All of the aforementioned, makes them unstoppable, unbreakable, undeniable and inevitable! Blessed be!

The amount of time Elizabeth had to take care of his gunshot wounds undercover at the expense of getting in trouble with the law. First of all, Jason is not a hypocrite because he thought the best thing for his son Jake was to give him to Lucky and Liz; two people that he had no idea were more screwed up in the head than he was because his brain damage is caused by external trauma like getting thrown from a car and landing on your head. Second, the reason that Robin and Courtney could make their relationships with Jason last was because ultimately they only thought they could handle his job. The truth was that whether it is right or wrong, Jason is fully aware that his job illegal and that on occasion means he will be responsible for ending a life. Now, that also applies to why Jason and Elizabeth would never make a relationship last but the difference between Robin and Courtney from Elizabeth is that Jason was in love with Robin and he was in love with Courtney. Elizabeth is a woman he slept with that got knocked up, played mind games with both the biological father (Jason) and the guy she lied to about being the father (Lucky) however because Jason was just another guy in Elizabeth's continuous pattern of cheating that the next time she got knocked up she had to run another paternity test and somehow her leaving the door opening with a young kid running around and sadly right into traffic was Jason's fault because he consented to every decision Elizabeth made up Jake even though that ending up costing him the woman he actually loved then Elizabeth had the nerve to say that Jake's accident was Jason's fault because he stay and live a lie? Here's the punchline, Sam McCall was forced to live her life doing what she had to in order to make sure she and her brother survived; she never wanted Jason to change anything so that he and she could live a cookie cutter existence where he has a 9 to 5 while Sam plays Suzie Homemaker all day cleaning and cooking in the house with the white picket fence and the spacious backyard where their 2.5 kids could play with the chocolate and they could park their matching volvos side by side in the garage. That is not the life Jason wants or ever wanted and it's not the life Sam has ever wanted either. You see, what make Sam and Jason's relationship different from each of their previous relationships is that no matter what bullshit people try to do to tear them apart never lasts long because their love is unconditional and they know it's what will make them happy.
