Meyers turn into such giggle machine when he interviews other SNL folks. That writers' room, man... it would have been great to be a fly on the wall when they were creating some sketches.

When Seth left SNL in 2014, the show changed for the worse. He was the last person left who truly collaborated with Lorne rather than just doing whatever he said. The 13 years he spent on that show helped foster a change in the culture and once he was gone things became very competitive again.

It's funny he should talk about seeing it in a theater, because I literally went out of my way to see it in a theater. I traveled like over an hour because it's not in any theaters around where I live (which is kind of strange because I thought it had some substantial advertising). It was like the opposite of how he's describing it because literally as soon as I saw the first trailer I was just so pumped to see this movie. It seemed like such a refreshing and creative concept. The movie didn't really live up to my expectations, it was very different than what I thought it would be, which is more of a comedy. Although there was some good banter in it about the monster. It was really more emotional than I had anticipated, which I guess makes sense if you really consider the implications of just the concept. That being said, even though I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, it still ended up being the second best movie I've seen so far from this year. Better than Get Out or Logan or Kong: Skull Island or Free Fire, which I had seen the day before. Anne Hathaway was great, that came as no surprise. But I was more surprised with Jason Sudeikis. I don't know if I'd say he's a great actor but he did amazing in this role. He kind of suits a character like this, he's used to playing characters that act somewhat like this one. Except he goes even further with it than he usually does and that was what surprised me. I was so impressed with his performance. I'd totally recommend this movie, but like... expect the unexpected.

if you think this movie was better than Logan and your favourite movie that year was the lego batman movie then your opinion immediately means nothing, about anything ever. You're either 12 or just... stupid

Yeah the sci-fi part that you go in for never really gets an explanation. Like is an alien sending out these lightning bolts to create super heroes? Either way the message of this kid who clearly has a crush on this girl and then grows up and never gets over it is too real. I think it’s always been relevant, it’s just that only recently have we talked about how much harassment happens and is blamed on alcohol or other things.
