I'm honestly surprised there isn't more music made for harp and classical guitar. They suit each other so well...

Lovely music! Just a note: Candombe is not from east Africa. It's actually a form of music and dance originated in Uruguay, some parts of Argentina and Brazil, by the African slaves. It combines lots of African traditions, as the slaves were from all the continent. Also, a huge part the characteristic music is due the the drums (chico, repique y piano), that were created by them and vary from the African ones. (Sorry for English, i'm not native)

The harp is my all time favorite instrument, this was fantastic! The gentleman on the guitar was also quite good.

Absolutely amazing combination. Jason has to be the most eclectic technical guitarist I've seen. What a combination of extremely unusual but exciting performers.

11:00 Valse, 2nd movement of the suite by Maximo Diego - what a wonderful piece!

Harp is one of those instruments that I have difficulty wrapping my mind around. Not the execution of playing or how it works, but the precision necessary to play. It's amazing to watch.

I’m a harpist as well, and honestly It’s not as hard as people think. It of course does get harder as you progress, but I actually find it easier to play than the piano and the guitar.

This is a message to my best friend who for the sake of this comment I will call Strum. If you are seeing this comment today I want you to know that I'm so excited about jamming and rehearsing tomorrow with you, and also on Monday (yay, I get to see you two days in a row!). So glad there is music to keep us together and even more glad we can have so much fun chilling and doing nothing. Looking forward to future musical adventures with you and just generally being the funny lame awesome friends that we are. You are a gift to my life and may the Universe protect you and watch over you and send you all the love I have for you. :')

Hi Finn, Not a combo, but if you have not already discovered it, please know that Amy Turk has done Gymnopedie #1 on solo harp on her You Tube channel.

I know you can basically do what you want in the studio as far as mic placement and who knows maybe Jason liked that sound position best but I think it is a terrible spot for a mono signal guitar. Beautiful tune and well played, Jason is a great player, I love putting his CD on in the car.
@wapolo19748 жыл бұрын
+Brian Cullen I have to agree with you regarding the mic placement for Jason's guitar; not a very flattering sound...
@facciosean16 жыл бұрын
Brian Cullen yeah I agree that the mic placement didn’t help their performance

I’m a harpist as well, and let me tell you, You can’t get that in a cab unless it’s seats fold down and it still has a spacious trunk. She most likely had to rent an SUV of some kind cuz there ain’t no way that’s getting in anything smaller!😂
