Cannot emphasize enough how thoroughly this song manages to shatter me every time I think about it

The backstory to this song sounds like a WTNV episode in itself. Also I absolutely love this song, Jason is a very talented musician and songwriter.

Love the story behind the lyrics. Basically Jason's friend found a scrapbook in bin about a woman named Margaret Rucker from Jason's hometown (she was a bit of a poet herself). The Ruckers were an important family in that town, they had streets and whatnot named after them. There was a pyramid shaped tomb for the family and Jason was inspired by this and wondered what it was like knowing someday you'll end up in that pyramid no matter where you try to run to.

I love when the crowd keeps singing "at the bottom of a garbage bin" even as the music picks up again

Saw this song played live in Seattle at the Amanda Palmer The Art of Asking and I feel like this song is always best played live and that night was a particularly powerful performance (all the songs played that were really poignant and it was a good crowd even by seattle standards) It's a stunning song and project, I feel lucky to have been there that night!

If you listen to Hockwold by arrowwood before this, it’s like a cool experience. Feels like a prelude or opener for this song. It just sets the mood 👌🏽 highly recommend.

The fact that this album has almost zero listeners in the grand scheme of music is criminal

I'm really mad because the only Jason Webley songs I like are the ones that are Nightvale weather but he doesn't put those on iTunes or anywhere :( But I REALLY like this song

Ally Kat You can find a lot of his songs on his Bandcamp page. This song is available as part of his Margret album: jasonwebley.bandcamp.com/album/margaret

RowanMist I think Ally means that there's not an option to buy just one or a couple songs, but you have to buy the whole album to get the songs you actually want.
