@@DDAWGY1 the funny thing was several of the first games weren’t even televised locally. That’s how bad the Kings had been. The games that were televised locally were with Premier teams like the Lakers or the Celtics. Fans would come to the games wearing Lakers jerseys or Celtics jerseys or the bulls jerseys. It was kind of embarrassing. It was so bad that some of the major highlights of the game were televised on the news using the in-house feed that was shown on the Jumbotron. His points and assists would have been much higher but the BiGGEST REASON is that he was trying to play this way back then, launching like Steph but his coaches were not having it and didn’t encourage it, which if they did they could have brought out the Original version of what we see from Steph , but back then it was so frowned on that if he missed from that deep he’s gonna be out of the NBA and J was hitting those in Sac @ 1st but goofy coach was tripping on him so he got scared to keep doing it. Of all players I watched growing up, Jason Williams was my dude. I just remember being so mesmerized by everything he was capable of doing with that basketball. He was literally doing things that you wouldn't have thought was even possible to do with a basketball. That just goes to show how special of a talent he was. And, I love hearing that story about the X on the wall because I used to practice my passes like that, too. It's crazy to hear that. I didn't have an X to target, but I did have a padded wall to use where I targeted a particular square. It's the same shit, haha. But, he inspired those habits in me, I know that. Like I said, White Chocolate is hands down one of my personal favorites of all-time, period. I could watch his highlights all day. So yeah, it's easy for me to appreciate this one.

Damn! This interview was sick. And Jason Williams strikes me as a good dude!

As a teen I lived down the river from Dupont. My father owned a DQ in Belle, right where Jay and Randy grew up. They were absolute monsters on the court. I remember going to watch a game and being blown away by how good he could pass. It was like watching an NBA rookie. Glad to see he had such a great career. He busted his a$$ to make it happen.
