Can you explain why not seeing a skip button in the google login steps after factory reset the Samsung phones is a BIG red flag, please ?

Before resetting any devices you're planning to sell, it’s crucial to remove the existing Google account. Just like with the Apple activation lock, if the previous user hasn’t removed their Google account, the device will likely ask for that login information after a reset. Be sure to handle this step to ensure a smooth transition for the new owner.

If the "skip" is there, it means the phone is not associated with any past google accounts. If the "skip" is not there, the phone is STILL ATTACHED to the previous owners account and the phone is LOCKED and you will NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT AT ALL.

@@JasonClements thanks alot ! It really helps. However, I also have 1 more question to ask: if a samsung device gets blacklisted, it will not be able to use cellular network like making calls, sending text, cellular data but can use wifi, right ? Therefore, inserting a SIM card on those phones is useless because its IMEI, which is hardcoded into the hardware, is banned. If anything I said above is wrong, please correct me. I live in Vietnam and recently, I saw a used S20 FE at the price of 1.800.000 VND, which is about 71 USD. However, the seller said that the SIM card slot "doesn't work", so I think that it got blacklisted ? What is your thoght on this ? Just for my curiosity, what is the market price of S20 ultra in your country right now ? In my country the cheapest usable with no other flaws except for the little cracked screen at the corner is 135 USD and I think I would go for it. Is it a good deal ?

1. Blacklisting is funny. There are many possible scenarios. I've seen this: A phone is blacklisted with Verizon, but it works with ATT or TMobile. If a device is Fully / Factory Unlocked to work with any carrier, it can only be blacklisted by the carrier where it was lost/stolen/unpaid bills. Otherwise it is possible to use it with other carriers. You still need to take your sim chip with you and TEST IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT. Other countries or other carriers might(?) be able to completely lock the phone - but that is only a guess 2. WiFi will work on any phone - as long as that phone is not FRP / iCloud Locked. You can use the internet, you just won't be able to make calls or text or use any other cellular service. 3. S20 Ultra in the US is around $250 new and as low as $130ish for used. 4. Please subscribe and come back for more tips - and share what you know in the comments. 5. Thank you !

I'm thinking of buying a used note 20 ultra off fb market but I'm scared that after the purchase, the seller might blacklist the phone or lock me out after I use it for a few months. Is there a way for the seller to lock me out of, or blacklist my phone even after I factory reset it and set it up using my Google account and register it to my samsung account via samsung members? And if so, how can I prevent them from being able to do it before I buy the phone? Thanks!

if you are that concerned, I would walk away from that deal. Unless you are lucky and somehow you can have someone in your FB group vouch for that person. Also, if the deal is too good to be true, then skip it. If you buy a used note 20 on eBay, at least you have protection from both eBay and Paypal (for like 6 months I think)
