U should have taken a trip first to Wakanda, acquire some Vibranium drill bits..... that’s where you messed up. Or just call Pat....... 😂

My respects for guys who try their best to do it on their own so they see that its not easy or cheap to have the right tools. A 3 to 4hr instal turns into an weekend job or weeks sometimes
@TheAllAmericanDriver2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate that!!! Definitely need the right tools for the job.

Just got the popcorn. Looking forward to a quick Jason install. Now having breakfast. Things seem to take a bit of time. Love it. Hang in there buddy. You can't say it isn't real.

LOL, I have the best commentators. Yeah it's real! Thats the common theme on my channel... Good news coming soon!

Should have bought a Watson Racing roll bar, mostly an easy bolt in with just a couple holes to drill in the trunk.
@TheAllAmericanDriver Жыл бұрын
That sounds much easier to install!

3 yrs later. Funny to see the struggle. It’s high carbon structural steel. Ya you needed a real drill bit and slow speed. But anyways. Life goes on. If you ever get to 50 likes are you gonna still take the Jeep up the hill 😂

I just wonder why every project has to fight you to the bitter end lol. It looks awesome for sure hopefully the rest of the install gets done soon. Did my part on getting to 50 likes

HAHA! yeah it's always a struggle for some reason. I have a feeling it will be worth it in the end. :) thanks for the like! I would love to run the Gladiator up Challenge Hill!

@@TheAllAmericanDriver I'd love to see that as well!

I installed the Watson 4-point cage in my R....all by myself...and it wasn't easy. This install looked like a breeze compared to the Watson.
@TheAllAmericanDriver3 жыл бұрын
Does the Watson require drilling also?
@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair3 жыл бұрын
Yes. I detailed the install here. If you can't view the images or thread, let me know. www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/best-harness-for-roll-cage-on-350r.136754/page-2#post-2849743

I’m not sure if I should delete this commend before my wife sees it and gets any ideas...... 😆😆😆

Invest in a electric impact. Im pretty sure that you can use seat bolts they are set up to cut threads in those holes without threads. And its really hard to drill through boron steel it is the hardest metal in automobile. Have a great day.
@TheAllAmericanDriver3 жыл бұрын
I learned a few things from your comment! Thank you. Baron steel, I was wondering about that.

Why are you attempting to install a CMS roll bar and have all the Watson roll bar info in the description? Is that your way of telling people to get the Watson?Lol!! I had a ‘17 GT350R that blew the engine at the track. Ford did a buyback of the car and I pulled the Watson bar and Simpson harness’ along with a few Steeda pieces out of the R and paid the pro that installed them originally in the R to reinstall them in the ‘20 PP2 I got to replace the R. Honestly that R blowing up was a blessing. It drank oil like it was it’s job at the track and wasn’t the greatest on the street. Ordered a ‘20 PP2 with all the options and with the money left over put the FP R Brembo brake package and a lot of suspension pieces from the Steeda catalog on it. The PP2 is much nicer inside, better manners on the street and actually faster on my home track (NJMP) than the R ever was. I will say I don’t know how much you track your car but most if not all event organizers in my area require some kind of block off or rear seat delete with the roll bar. Used the stock one with the R and the Watson one for the PP2. Good on you for thinking about safety first. You are never gonna go wrong with safety equipment and structural reinforcements. Having said that, watching you struggle was painful. Pay a pro. So worth the $.

Good catch on the Watson bar, I didn't write the description, I deleted it and will update it accordingly. Thank you. What do you mean by some kind of block off? Is that a something that separates the trunk space from the rear seat area? Like it cannot be open?
@thereissomecoolstuff3 жыл бұрын
Great lemon to lemonade story. I have '18 Whipple with a full Steeda setup. Run gt350 tires and wheels, upgraded brembos. All $18k less that a Shelby. Love the car but have a Z06 ordered. We will see what happens.

Hi Jason did you try pilot point drill bits?
@TheAllAmericanDriver3 жыл бұрын
The best ones I had were the Dewlt Titanium drill bits. I don't think I had the pilot point style.
@paulschmidt16443 жыл бұрын
The All American Driver, yeah pilot point bits should make quick work of it all.
