I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and KZbinr who's been to 61 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I've travelled to North America just once as a KZbinr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with videos following from India, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Thailand and Sumatra (Indonesia). I began 2024 by revisiting Bangladesh.

You missed The mangroves , The Sundarbans world's largest Mangrove forest shared between India and Bangladesh. The Bengal (WB) has almost everything that a country has (geographically) Mountains, snow sometimes, Beaches ( Digha , Mandarmai, Bokkhali) , jungles Jaldapara and Gorumara National forest, mangroves, historical places like Kolkata, Murshidabad, Nadia and all almost all districts have their own history and British, Mughals, French.

Yes the siliguri darjeeling line was a tough job, thousands of workers died during its construction as the British wanted it done as soon as possible and their safety was no concern. Similarly the konkan west coast railway line was also a challenging task, taking the lives of more than 15000 workers during a course of 10-15 years. Beautiful and yet sinister.

What you missed is a real time moving train (DHR) in Darjeeling and in the famous Batase Loop where most tourists flock. Excellent video, narration and quality of voice and visuals. I would request you visit again and capture many more including the glimpses of Kangchenjunga peaks, the train, schools and colleges, cultural events, festivals and live capture of the sunrise from Tiger Hill, and of course many more. Good luck and best wishes.

Well because Bengalis can't find jobs in Kolkata, they are all over India except in Kolkata.
@BANERJEETILAK
@BANERJEETILAK 2 күн бұрын
@@sandeepshah105 There are jobs in Kolkata but no jobs for Bengalies in Kolkata । Non Bengalies hire non Bengalies। That is why so many non Bengalies stay in Kolkata। Bengalies are minority there। Son of the soil reservation is needed just in the line of amchi Mumbai to prevent exudous of Bengali working class। Bangla Pokho has started their agitation। Jai Bangla।
@sandeepshah105
@sandeepshah105 2 күн бұрын
@BANERJEETILAK Hardly so my friend. Non Bengalis who stay here are largely traders/mini manufacturers etc. They are hardly any industrial house left in Kolkata after the rule of CPM. The kids of Marwaris who don't want to enter business also end up migrating to other states for jobs, Kolkata has actually become a old age home for parents who don't/can't migrate with their kids are left behind. Bengalis unfortunately don't focus on entrepreneurship and end up more going out of the state. Reservations won't solve anything, generating more jobs can. Plus talking about reservations will only hurt Bengalis, as other states will start doing so. Imagine reservations in Bangalore, where will Bengalis get job in?
@BANERJEETILAK
@BANERJEETILAK 2 күн бұрын
@@sandeepshah105 It is a false narrative। Bengalies have suffered most by division and then the invasion of non Bengalies who are taking their welth। Bengalies are open minded and humanitarion by nature devoid of caste culture in Bihar UP and other western states । Even in WBCS exam Bengali is not compulsary। No state has this। Non Bengalies are taking RPF,CRPF,BSF and other jobs in Bengal quota by false domicile certificates। And Bengalies have to go to other state to hear that they are Bangladeshies । 85% of names in Celular Jail are Bengali but in indipendent India their decendents are suffering। Netaji's Bengal do not have Bengal regiment in army । Son of the soil reservation is needed because it is already prevail one form or other in Jharkhand, Maharastra ,Orissa,North east and Assam, J&K and many states। We are not concerned about educated urban Bengalies who can earn their bread in Bangalore or in Silicon valley USA । Actual problem is faced by rural educated or little educated Bengalies । Their opportunities are ripped off by non Bengalies। Bangla Pokhho has started the agitation and it will gather momentum in near future।
@BANERJEETILAK
@BANERJEETILAK 2 күн бұрын
@@sandeepshah105 Educated urban Bengalies will get their jobs anywhere in the world if not in Bangalore then in Silicon valley in USA or in any other places । It is the rural youth who are facing the problem । It seems Kolkata is closer to Bihar and UP compared to the Bengal villages। Lions share of Kolkata's welth should go to rural youth । But all jobs and businesses be It foot path treading to RPF BSF CISF Bengal quota posts all are taken with false domicile certificates। Even WBCS exam can be given in Hindi or Urdu which is unthinkable in other non Hindi states। Bengalies can not give central exam in mother tongue but this gutka people can । We were liberal by birth and castism which playes havoc in other northern states is non existent here। But liberal outlook plays havoc । Son of the soil reservation is needed immediately। It is existent in Jharkhand North east states,Assam,J&K,Himachal even UP,Bihar। Bihar for Biharis was a movement started before indipendence by Bharat Ratna Karpuri Thakur and tortured innocent Bengalies there and they fled from Bihar। But now Urdu and Hindi people has captured the welth of Bengal। In Kharagpur Kulti or Ranigunge if you have Bengali adhar card you will not get employment ।85% of the names in Celular jail is Bengalies। But their decendents are suffering in the hands of those who does not have any contribution in indipendence। Netaji's state does not have Bengal regiment in the army but Bihar has। Bangla Pokkho has started agitation and it will bound to get momentum।

Hi all. I've looked at the train website for India. Does 3A mean 3rd class, 2A = 2nd class and 1A = 1st class? Does the 3rd class have A/C? In the sleeper trains, does the 3rd class mean 3 tiers/ levels of bunk beds and 2nd class is 2 tiers? I'm planning to travel to India and am estimating the expenses and time involved for the train journeys. Thanks in advance to whoever will answer.

Historically Darjeeling was part of Sikkim but became a hill station favored by the elite of the British Raj to escape the Indian heat during summertime but the British nevertheless left Sikkim alone. In the 18th century Sikkim was briefly overrun by the Nepalese Gurkhas. The Sikkim king fled to China and asked China for help. The then Qianlong emperor of the Qing dynasty dispatched an expedition to Sikkim and expelled the Gurkhas and restore Sikkim's independence and sovereignty. Sikkim was left unmolested for the rest of its history until it was gobbled up by India in 1975. Sikkim's annexation by India in 1975 is even more sinister than Saddam Hussein's annexation of Kuwait in 1990. The Iraqis and the Kuwaitis are the same people. They are Arabs, speak the same language, same religion and same customs. India's annexation of Sikkim is a different animal. This is classic colonialism, there is no way to characterize it otherwise. Sikkimese see Indians not only as occupiers but also strangers, no different than how the Indians see the British in the Raj times. The difference is in old school colonialism, it is the White colonializing the Browns whereas in new school colonialism it is the Browns colonializing the Yellows. Most people think of colonialism as in institution in the 19th and 20th century that don't exist anymore. Wrong. Colonialism is well and alive in the India's northeast in general and in Sikkim in particular. Hope one day people in this region will be free from India.

@@Ari-zg9pw I heard this a lot. You must be one of those 'Proud Indians' then. Curiously Indians are the only people in the world constantly proclaim they are proud of their country. But talk is cheap. The way Indians behave they are the least proud of their country. Give a chance an Indian will move to a foreign country in a heartbeat. Darjeeling has a lot of migrants from the mainland. Real Sikkimese found the desi people repulsive.

Really, I have been to Gangtok and Darjeeling at the same time.... At first we were there in Gangtok and it felt like a town of Japan... Then when get to Darjiling it was same dirty streets like kolkata (where I belong). But the rural Darjeeling is paradise.
