I really enjoy watching your perspective and the open mindedness you approach all destinations and cultures with. Often times when I watch Western vloggers visiting foreign countries, especially in the global South, there is an air of cultural superiority they give off and I feel like it blinds them from the charm and beauty of these places and people. I can imagine other vloggers being angry about having to spend however much money at a mandir, but I was happy to see that you understand it just comes as part of the experience, fair or not, especially as a Westerner. Excited to see more.

Year 2007, Kolkata Kolkata was a simple peaceful city back then..life was simple..You could eat maach bhaat (fish n rice) thali at any road side shop in 25-30 rs. Not many fancy restaurants back then..few on Camac street and Park Street..we used to frequently visit Fire n Ice for Pizzas and Pastas, Flurys, Bar B Q, Zeeshan, Arsalan..road side sattu drink as a breakfast smoothie and misthi dohi any time...Mobile phones were new back then and were not that smart.. we could read free newspapers displayed on streets... people used to travel by trams and hand rickshaws..one memorable thing was we used to watch movies in Cinemas as online movies weren't there..People used to read books, go to the library.. purchase books from college street..those were some lovely times..few things have changed now..

I would be very honest, I loved that he didn't like the coffee from the coffee house but still praised it. The coffee house has a very important role in showcasing the literature of the city but the new generation is not able to respect it. They smoke at the coffee house even though there's a signboard that smoking is not allowed. The good especially the coffee is not good at all, but the place has peace.
