Albania was part of the Ottoman Empire for long time, so many things such as architecture, folk music, food and hand crafts are very similar. There is also great similarity in people’s names between those used in Albania and Turkey. There are mosques and minarets in different parts of the country. A new large mosque was built in Tirana some years ago after the end of the Communist years. There are very fine Roman ruins in both Durres and Butrint. Enjoyable place.

Rahmetli babamı hatırladım amca oku bizim gibi cahil kalma deyince. O zaman beraber pazara çıkıyorduk Ankara'da bir gün çok soğuktu ve o arkadaki CHP li teyze gibi bir teyze gördüm yanında ise platonik aşık olduğum kız beni pazarda öyle pasakli üstü başı görünce gormemezlikten geldi. O günden sonra okuyacağım adam olacağım dedim. Okudum, İngiltere'de, Kanada'da da senelerdir ama ne annem ne babam vardı sonra onlarda vefat etti. Şu An her şeyim var ama ailem yok, keşke olmasaydı ve ben pazarda yine babam ile birlikte olsaydım. Demek istedim saygı sevgi ve aile her şeydir.
