I begin my trip around Mongolia (Монгол) by sharing my first impressions of the capital, Ulaanbaatar. The following day I take a day trip outside the city to the Genghis Khan Statue Complex and Gorkhi Terelj National Park.

I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and KZbinr who's been to 61 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I've travelled to North America just once as a KZbinr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with videos following from India, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and Mongolia.

I'm watching this on Sept. 16, 2023, and you've already got 1,000 "likes." Eleven minutes into the video, I'd like to know how much that hotel room cost in American Dollars, and which European language you think is most useful useful in traveling there. (I'm guessing that the Russian influence may still be fairly strong here. Is that right?) Good Luck!

there are great hotels for about 50-100 dollars a night. in terms of European language, not so much. Even English is fairly difficult there. Actually, Korean might be good because there's a lot of them there.@@519djw6

I was extremely surprised to see the city looking so modern. Also there were so many signs in English, possibly to make travel easier in the future. I particularly liked the delivery car for "Best Pizza." Aside from the wonderful looking meal you had at the hotel I would love to sample the best pizza.

I love how much historical information you include in your videos. Makes for much more informed travelers. I watch another documentary on the Soviet Union and the residential communes were exactly the same. The apartment buildings make a square with the courtyard in the middle. And always a supermarket and pharmacy nearby. Nice to see how those plans were adopted throughout the USSR

I have a desire to go and see this country. Very interesting you know in Colombia they have the same occupation of Russian satellite state there until we started putting bases from United States over there in Colombia.. you really did a good job. One major blunder to correct. It was not last China's dynasty. It was Manchu dynasty. Totally different nation than Chinese linguistically, historically and culturally. Both Mongolia and China were colonies of Manchu Qing dynasty. Unfortunately, Chinese propagandists these days still claim this false propaganda just to acquit the existence their current colonial empire.
