I read very little about canoes. Length, width, curves and such. I mostly like the 15' canoe, for solo use. Even though 9' is the "normal" solo canoe. I think that one is too unstable. A momentary lapse in concentration and you're swimming. The 15' is much more forgiving plus you can get in the center and traverse a water way with mere inch(es) of depth. It was always nice to traverse the feeder streams that other boats could only ignore, due to limits.
