I said a decade ago that the world car market would be dominated by Tesla and Chinese brands. Even though I didn’t know of any Chinese car brands I knew that they would be investing heavily and would not have the liability of their own internal combustion assets. Remember back to the 70’s when Japanese cars entered u s market , if you were driving a Japanese car , then parked on a street or any public road , often with damage or some what warning on the windshield when you pick it up , it took 10 years for the North American loyalty brands to realized and accepted the reality , as for now , if Chinese brand’s electric cars entre the North America market , I would expect the same resemblance treatment towards Chinese brand made cars , personally I would “ love” to own one as soon as I can purchase one , ( I do live in North America) !

Great looking car, nice fit and finish. Many features are just like Tesla but better looking. My concern would be warranty and service centers. The more tech involved, the more that you need the knowledgeable techs to keep it running. If I ever move back to GZ I will definitely need a self driving car that speaks English 👍.

remembering back to the 70’s when Japanese cars entered North America market , they were the economic powerhouse for joe and Mary can afforded , inexpensive and easy to maintain , but when you own one then parked on any public street often meant with warning or some what damaged when pick it up , it took 10 years for the loyalty of American brands to accept the real reality , now Japanese brands are in every inch of the open market , as for now if ever Chinese brand cars entering North America market , I would expect the resemblance treatment towards Chinese brand cars , personally I would love to own one whatever the Chinese made brand , “ I do live in North America “ !

Chinese have a few huge advantages over the Germans, cheaper energy, human and material resources cost and also massive massive industrial capacity that brings the unit price of each car down. I think China is competing with Japanese and Korean auto industry right now, though.

The French are master suspension tuners...... but having seen the up and coming Chinese brands, I still believe they are catching up fast. I've already seen these cars on the road here since last year across Malaysia and Singapore and presumably elsewhere in SE Asia too with its nearly 1-billion people and countless cars. You can buy them for as little as $8000 - $10,000 for a small entry-level model. The cheapest car in the US is almost 4X that much.

Depend on how you use your car. I own Tesla model 3 rear wheel drive almost one year and never have range anxiety. I also own Lexus RX 350. My Tesla for daily commute and weekend drive around, and my company provide free charge for employee EV cars. I work three days in office Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I charge my car those three days. I drove around 800 - 900 miles a mouth with my Tesla, and I only charged a couple of times at home in almost one year. and my Lexus run about 300 - 400 miles a month average and most for long distance drive. I feel that is the best combination for a family own two or more cars.

If Huawei build it own car, it will be like its smart phone becoming No1 within few years. But it has decided to be the future IOT and autonomous driving platform instead for all cars. So it has given its basic car design to other car developers. Avatar is just one of HW showcase, but it looks so fantastic easily leading all EV including outdated looking Tesla with very few new technology. BYD is another leading EV in most advanced technology (read its DMI technology, U8 & U9), outlook and interior quality. Its EV sales surpasses Tesla this year. There are dozen more EV brands. Chinese are spolit of choices.
