One summer as a college kid working on the Great Northern Railroad, I had the privilege to be in Dixon, Polson, St. Regis and the most Spectacular scenery I've only imagined! I always wished I had God's life directions there! However, you give me reprieve! Keep it up Montana Mountain Man!

“When I’m not there, I want to be there.” “Elk resonate inside you.” Isn’t that they truth of what September does to a person. I am so grateful that I got experience it as a young adult and it’s never left me. I let life get in the way for 25 yrs in between, but it never left me. The best thing I’ve ever done in life was to of never let that sept feeling leave me and finally reuniting myself with all those sept feelings and emotions 7 yrs ago. It’s all I think about now. I count the days til sept, the months and even though I’ve super dialed in on gear I need and don’t need, I already have started a list for sept 2021. That’s the elk life. Great video Jason. Keep your front bumper on brother!

As I, you seek the solace, the peace, and the awe of the elk woods...thank you for showing, explaining and portraying the spiritual rekindling they offer to those whom will submit...revitalization at its finest. Bravo, sir.

Well said Jason... Its funny, I was just talking to my brother today before I watched this video, and told him that of all the creatures the big guy put in our world, he sure nailed it with elk.. What an animal..such mass but such grace... never realized till a public hunt in Colorada where I watched a 700 lb elk go straight up a highwall and never missed a step - the majestic monarch of the west for sure... cant't get anough of em... keep em coming Jason, and thanks again,..

Certainly a good video. Kinda hard to relate though when you hunt public land. I don’t believe I’ve seen that many 6 point bulls just standing in the wide open in the middle of the day my whole life. Overall good video.

Nicholas Bohlman it’s quite common to see bulls in the wide open all over Montana. Public land or private land, doesn’t matter. I appreciate the compliment!

Thank you for sharing. Just wondering why the title is ep 1 2016 not 2018?

Jamie Reid the description explains everything but it's because this aired in 2016 as part of season 7.

Beautiful stuff! Looks like S/E MT. What happened with the recovery? Looked like a gut shot....did you recover not long after the shot or did you have to back out and come back the next day?
@jasonmatzingerofficial6 жыл бұрын
James Coulter I was able to recover him within a couple hours. Watched him lay down and backed out. Came back and she was all over. Liver played a big part.

Whats up with the drone ????????????????????????????????????
@jasonmatzingerofficial6 жыл бұрын
Larry Shively not sure what the question is? We use a drone to film aerials of the landscapes we hunt. You can’t fly and hunt the same day though...
@larryshively81946 жыл бұрын
I Wouldn't want to explain that to a game warden . Thanks
