I met a lot of new people at NAMM 2017, but I have to openly say Michael Sweet was number 1 for me. We just hit it off and hung out a LOT more than you see here on camera. Back in the '80's Michael would occasionally come in to the music store that I worked at in Fullerton, CA. I never even realized it was him until one day when I was training a new employee and the new guy recognized him! Michael was always kind and humble. Good guy.

Does anyone know what effect reversing the pickups has on the sound, as to why he is doing that on his guitars? Great video.

Honestly, it's something you would need to try yourself to see if you like it or not. Traditionally Bridge & Neck pickups are wound differently to deal with the frequencies in each position. It would bring on a uniqueness that's for sure. I know that doesn't help much, but at least it's something. Cheres, Jason

I was in LA with him a couple of weeks ago and I've made the video for the 1st release from the up coming 2nd Sweet & Lynch record. It should be out in the next few weeks with any luck. Who is "actually" building these Signature models? I was under the impression the entire US Music/ Washburn USA Custom Shop had been closed, in mid/late 2016, and only entry level Asia built, ( not Japan built) were still being manufactured. I totally respect Washburn USA quality and would consider either Signature model if it is built at the Illinois factory.

They are still producing in the US as well as Asia. The USA Custom Shop models are being made by a gentleman named Chris Mead (could be Meed). By all accounts and from what I've seen he's doing a great job. I'm not sure which city Chris is in though. Cheers, Jason
