to further contextualize be alright is very special in the fandom since it's kind of a tribute to voguing culture/queer culture and her queer fans-- it was arguably her first song to have choreography that fans would learn and recreate at her shows :) and even though the lyrics are definitely pretty simple, the message of the song gained a new meaning after the manchester attack, and since it's not one of her most popular singles has kind of stayed a fan favorite. i would recommend watching a live performance of it bc your critiques make a lot of sense but i think its more fun to listen when ur watching the choreo lol
