Hey Jason! I'm glad your doing another updated beginner series! I really enjoy the detail that you go into on these videos they have been really helpful. I think alot of people find No Mans Sky overwhelming in the beginning and you do a really good job at breaking the game down in a logical way! Keep up the good work! Thank you!

I’m so excited for you to get into base building. Mine looks awful lol

Try watching Beeblebum, he does some amazing base builds and has a lot of great walkthroughs/tips-n-tricks.

The point about checking which mission is highlighted is really, really important. I've spent hours floundering around trying to advance a mission in vain, because the game chose a different mission to focus on. And some missions will complete even if not highlighted--e.g., kill X sentinels--but others must be highlighted, or you will never complete them. Also, if you pick up a new mission, the focus will change to that mission, so if you don't intend to work on it, you need to go into the log and highlight your preferred mission.

I know if you play on console, you can use Left on the D-pad and it'll bring up your notifications on the bottom right of the screen. Just a good way to double check your missions without having to fumble through menus.

I agree on a new playthrough it is best to plow through the missions in order to unlock tech. Nanites are better spent on upgrades early on rather than tech, most particularly movement, shield and scanner modules. All of those are great in the early game.

It's so nostalgic watching beginning videos. It brings back all the excitement of starting NMS. Also, #1!

Good luck. He tends to jump into expeditions whenever they come up and lets the guide languish. We made it to "Meeting Apollo" (one episode further) in the Worlds Beginners' Guide a few months ago. Jason can be easily distracted at times but has a wealth of information. I never fail to learn something new when I watch his content. Keep in mind that in the end it's all about view counts in terms of his priorities.

Hey Jason if you’re in communication with NMS devs, ask them to fix the missions so they stop changing around. I get really upset with that too. It shouldn’t switch unless you change it. 😊

If I reset my freighter will it reset the quests or is it so I can change the layout of the storage etc. I hate how my freighter is laid out and I want it to look better but I don't want to start over.

It should just reset the layout of your base modules aboard the freighter, but it's EVERY PIECE. So only use when you want a full remodel.

Hey Jason how do I use my jet pack jump with mouse and keyboard. I tried several different option ways but I keep just flying up instead of moving forward.
@stevejohnsonofdeitiesanddu97669 күн бұрын
It takes some finesse... you need to be moving forward with W, tap Q then Spacebar like a fast 1-2 punch and it should launch you forward at a fast rate of speed. If your Spacebar tap is too slow, you'll mainly go up... (I'm playing on PC and the keys I mentioned are the default...)

Admittedly, I play on console, but I've found that if you're too slow on the combo it'll just send you upwards. Also, unlocking the jet boots from the exosuit tech tree aboard the anomaly will change your life.
