Living ships are always S Class. Been that way forever. Also, you don't have to switch systems. Every system has multiple different styles and colors. I believe there is a limit, but it is certainly much more than one style per system.

@PraiseTheGreatVoid It would stay the same. To change what ship you find, make a manual save before you start pulsing in space. Start pulsing until you're contacted by the ship that gives you the mission to awaken a living ship. Fly to that ship. Feel free to get out and check it out. If you don't like it, load your manual save, not the autosave. Repeat the process and the ship will give you coordinates to a different ship.

they really should remove that timegate , it's tedious enough without having to wait 24 hours every time or having to adjust clock .... they should also seriously boost the stats on those ships ( with the sentinel ships now in game )

If you advance the time on your computer/Xbox and reconnect offline the wait time is mitigated entirely

It's not a big deal because it's only for the first living ship, after that you can just buy new eggs and your good. I am on an eternal search for a living ship with all four super charged connected

The easiest way to find a portal on any planet is to complete the exocraft base missions until you get the enhanced scanner tech upgrade and then using an exocraft to scan for alien structures, find a monolith, and then give it one of the species relics and have it locate a portal.

Through the last expedition I was able to find the easiest way to get a portal. If you already have the hover Is vehicle and you have Both scanners You can build The machine necessary to spawn it into your Solar System, and then you can scan the Very last option which is alien structure. Once you scan that it will take you to the place that will show you the portal as long as you've Already got the specific factions relic for the answer.

How i find portals quick is using freighter to summon exocraft using scanner to locate alien monolith then use that to find a portal less rng dependant *edit that was before my switch reached version 4.2.2 in nms so now most freighter stuff crashes

Thank you for this guide. I really thought living ships were out of my reach, something only for the more hardcore Travellers, but these videos showed me that it really isn't that hard. My Void Egg did try to get me killed, though. For the second step (the heart), it sent me to a planet with aggressive Sentinels. Of course, I didn't scan the planet before I landed, and the game didn't warn me like it has in the past about it being an "extreme Sentinel planet", so after several minutes trekking through a blinding storm, I finally arrived at the monolith, and just as I approached it, a Sentinel swooped in and got right in my face, nose to nose (or glowing red orb to visor), and I thought, "Uh oh, that's unusual behavior", especially considering I hadn't done anything aggressive. Next thing I knew, his buddies showed up and started taking pot shots at me. I killed them all, but the second wave was on its way. I knew I couldn't handle all of them on foot, in the open, I had no idea where my ship was, and I couldn't summon it because I was "in combat", so I had to dig myself a long, deep, twisty tunnel to hide in and wait them out. Eventually I crept out, called my ship, ran up to the monolith, speed clicked through the exchange, jumped in my ship and GTFO. I collected the liquid sun on a different planet because screw that, flew back to the site, speed clicked through again, and GTFO again, all the while cursing my Egg and vowing to be more observant next time. I'm kind of worried where it's going to send me for the next step. But, yeah, so far, pretty easy.

They're all s class cause you can't upgrade them like the other ships you have to pulse drive around to get stiff for them

Love these videos. I've got an egg maturing right now. But only in the first stage. However. The problem I'm having is finding the _"travellers"_ who can give you a grave location. I noted than when you went into the space station @3:30, there was one just stood there to your left. I've been in and out of about a dozen or so, if not more, and can't find a single _"traveller."_ I've only found the one so far so on all the stations I've been to. So I've got a long way to go _(Though I do know the location of a planet with 16 portal glyphs on, I just need to find my second glyph!)._ PS Just subbed to you too! ;-))...

@@ironmoondarkwing4190 I was on normal difficulty. However. As my game was the first start in 2 years, I needed a game to see what to do. So last night I started a new game. And as soon as I was able to build that first base to show the location of the space station in it was a traveller. So I've got my first glitch already. Seems that travellers are a totally random event. In the game I abandoned, took me 20+ jumps to find one.

Took me a bit to figure out those were portal glyphs. I probably warped a few thousand light years before I figured out the current path for the quest was leading me no where. Got my Living ship though after collecting the souls.

I had trouble getting to land my ship in multiple spots on the planet. I kept being stuck hovering over the planet, until I landed on someone's base landing pad. There were a lot of people on that planet and in it's star system.

Completely off topic.... is there a way to get rid of for good...or will HG ever patch the land that "regrows" in your base after you have altered the terrain? It's a bummer to all of a sudden have half of my underwater base filled in with landmass I already got rid of. Just curious.. thanks for your videos brotha!

I have that happen too - and I THINK what causes it is when there are a lot of other player bases on the same planet. Each planet has a limited about of terrain manipulation before some of it "resets". I have a base with nobody on it and it never happens, and I have two bases on heavily populated planets and it happens a lot. What I do to minimize it is: flatten the terrain in your base to remove all the growth, then immediately upload your base again. It helps, but doesn't always prevent future growth since there are so many other bases on the planet continually altering the terrain.

Just activate Pulse drive with your Living ship. That's how to get Living ship's upgrade modules.

If you have a living frigate it will bring back some stuff from missions from your freighter like eggs to help you upgrade - seems like I got two different things, one did slots and the other upgrades, which even if they were C class you could pay to upgrade the upgrades.

Yup haha game glitched and spawned another ship on top of my living ship in the end. Glitched out and wasn’t able to get it and now have to wait like another week to rack up quicksilver.

copy the void egg when u do so you can avoid that glitch and if it happens again decline the ship then go into the anomaly and leave again then pulse around till the living ship contacts you to copy an item use a portable refiner put the item in the item slot do not put any fuel in then take another portable refiner and line it up with in the first one so it looks like there is only one portable refiner put down as many refiners as you need then pick them all up as fast as you can this method will copy just about anything and it will copy whole stacks of items as well

Im on second part..on a new savey so doing it second time, and last time the time to grow parts went up, and this time mature time goes down like first part went from 25 hours to grow up, and second part need 23 and half hours to grow up.. on first save it went from 20 hours for first part to 25 hours fpr last part, it switched for me, i think time is rng.. and its in general 5 days to get living ship

I had never done Nexus missions when I was given a Void egg. Had to do a Google to see what it was! I did not get the ship for a while and have since traded it on a Sentinel. I will get another if when get more slots, but I love ship hunting and keep getting new ships.

Don't worry about it Jason, ALL travelers are copy's of the creator of the Atlas. Meaning it's all your soul because travelers are different iterations of the same person. That's why it states "A sacrifice is required", You have to sacrifice part of yourself to give life to the ship.

Best way to find a portal is to use a exocraft and search for alien ruin it's free.

They can go through black holes with out any damage. You still need to find the black holes the same way, but going through on a living ship will not damage any equipment. Also the damage bonuses on all types of ships are different, not sure how they stack up against exotic, but I know the fighters had the highest until they gave us the sentinel ships which now have the highest damage bonuses.

I think my mission glitched - I went to the coordinates the mission gave me for the “fallen host” and instead of taking me to a living ship, it took me to a standard looking ship (nothing like the one in the vid)

This actually happens all the time, all u need to do is land near the "normal" looking ship get out of ur ship to save. Then just reload that save and the normal ship will turn into the living one.
