Sigh, my expedition stopped at stage 4 derelict freighter. Halfway through freighter the cursed 'shooting causes freighter to disappear around you' bug appeared.

i had 3 expeditions bugging out on me in the past, kind of gave up completely on ever doing those again after those

Change camera. I had the same problem but I was able to get through it.

If you make it through the portal you can go to space call the Anomaly and if you get the nanites you can get your main save ship and any equipment and resources if you've started on your main save and then you can use that ship to warp because they dont take away your copied ships hyperdrive so you can go anywhere you want even to the next planet instead of using the portal lol. I warped all over and was still able to do everything and finish.

another thing. The planet with rings has asteroids (the rings are the asteroids)....just fly at normal speed through the rings.

Portals are broken and putting a hault on progress. This needs fixed it been active for a week already and still can get it done

If lifeless planets have eggs, you can open those to summon the horrors to kill for mordite.

Hi Jason, kinda new here, either on NMS or on your channel, love your work, currently watching this expedition replay, but i was also (obviously) following your beginner guide 2025 (after i watched the 2024) and i was wondering, i noticed there is approx 12/13 vid on the 2024 guide, and on the 2025, there is also 13 vids so question is simple : will this guide (2025) go on ? you were talking about setting up a settlement at the end of the last vid, and well i learned A TOOOOOOOON watching your guide, your explanations are simple, entertaining etc it's so great, basically all i know is by watching you play ^^ My current save, i got an AClass sentinel ship and also an AClass Sentinel multitool, i'm feeling very confortable playing, but theres also a ton of thing like exocrafts, freighters... i'd love to watch you explain the way you did the rest. i wish you the best for you and your channel. It's unfair! I started UNDERWATER (!), next to a tiny island in the middle of the ocean, where there was very little coal, oxygen could only be collected from underwater plants (and as a secondary element), and ferrite dust was only found on the neighboring island, which was quite far away. 🥶 I died twice before I managed to repair my ship and take off to find a normal place to replenish supplies. 😕

@@phht0568 I think it's the effect of the difficulty level of the game when you start an expedition. I've noticed that currently, for example, the tool draw is based on the tool we already have in the latest save. It's about the arrangement of the charged fields. And since I'm now completing the last achievement I have left, which is Survival mode, maybe that's why the start is so horrible? 🤔

would you do a new updated permadeath play through? with a goal of getting everything unlocked and best freighter, tools, exosuit, ship and all their respective upgrades and also finding a floating island planet to build your base?

Can you take the Elixir of Quicksilver (after completing the Expedition) back to your main game and use it there to find portals?

Yes, rewards are the same. With a new save, you get all glyphs when you are done. But, if you start the expedition with a main save from the Anomaly, do you get all the glyphs on that save? If true, you could do the expedition on every save you have and get all the glyphs for each save. I am testing this theory on one of my saves. Can't do it as fast as you can, I need about a week soooo if you could test this theory, maybe on the live stream, you could save me the time.

I was trying to kinda speed run this this weekend and I'm stuck on breach 3! I use the quicksilver, get to a portal, and it just behaves normal. I have the right blood thing in my inventory, idk what to do!

In phase 4 you have to earn at least 4200 nanites so to sell your larvar cores was a bad idea

Eh, repair kits should only be used for things you can't easily craft. There is plenty of condensed carbon in that starting planet, so it's a waste to use it for the hermetic seal, IMO.

Pugnium is prized by the vykings so i believe only vyking traders will have pugnium

Have fun. I (as a newer player) have given up on this. If I have to rely on outside information (like yours) to be able to play an expedition, because the game doesn’t provide any even remotely useful help, it is broken. I tried to play Aquarius and never made it to the first fishing location due to either there being absoeffinglutely no resources to be found in the start system or being shot down in the next system (one you just pass through) after spending hours mining ferrite to get the oxygen for the warp cells - and not having found a single unit of sodium and no cobalt. Could also not land on the station for some reason unknown, and not reach a planet. Nuke it.

Not to be mean, but that sounds like a skill issue. Honestly resources are pretty easy to find in the game and the start menu has all of the information for crafting recipes. Oxygen from the little red plants, cobalt is the stalactites and stalagmites in caves. Cobalt can be a bit of a pain to find tbh, but it's usually pretty cheap on space stations. The game is far from broken though, it's gotten so much better since I started playing on the 'Next' update.
