Truly a tragic character that you kind of have sympathy for. He is basically a hard core bicentennial man and in some ways you learn that it is best to truly feel pain and anger and sadness in your life than to not be able to feel it all. Human emotions are above all insects in the world, more complex than most animals and the spectrum of emotions have almost no limit for every person is different. With a brain that has more memory and more processing power than a lot of super computers, but have the power to hold the universe is quite astounding. Just a single human mind can make any non living thing question what it is to be human, what it means to be a man and how far you are willing to go to achieve perfection.

Dude, Grid is such a fun character to talk about. There's a couple angles to discuss gender issues. You could get all metaphysical about what life is, and the concept of emotions. Or you could talk about the various ways a machine with artificial intelligence probably wouldn't present itself at all like how we depict them in our media. Seriously, the more I think about Grid's character the less sense it makes. BUT, I still think he's a great character, possibly my new favorite of the DC universe. Granted I only just heard of him this morning, and all I know is his general backstory, plus what I've gleaned from watching his intro dialogues. That line about giving anything to feel Freeze's pain brought a tear to my eye. Edit: Ooh! Or you could talk about the idea of "good vs evil", or opinions on humanity in general using Grid's point of view as a comparison.

AnalDash, Modern Feminists... are an interesting case. If their in places like America, where progress has put Men and Women on equal footing, then the 'Feminists' are nothing more than entitled, insecure Misandrists. But in the Middle East, Africa, and others, then they are the true Feminists that are to be admired and supported. A good way to tell the difference is to check whether the 'Feminist' is an insecure fatass whining about how fictional characters aren't as unhealthy and abhorrent as her, or a Respectable Lady in a suit discussing abortion rights, and how Women are being forced into marriage. One is to be opposed, the other to be supported.

3:00-3:08 For a robot that's supposed to lack emotion, that's a lot of self-confidance.

I think Grid is actually starting to gain emotion. For example, the dialogue "Your wife's disease is tragic" could indicate he feels sympathy for Mr Freeze

I remember that story! And Atom feels fear, which renders him incapable of saving the world, so he asks Tenma to change him back. Maybe having emotions isn't as good as we think.

Come to think of it, Atrocitus gave Grid the most upbeat banter. He wants emotion and he's all about releasing rage on everyone.
