THIS song was meant to be performed this way, so we, the nostalgic people, the widows, the survivors could hold on to something that help us remember that some time ago we laughed, danced, loved and breathed the same air with the ones that are not around anymore to sing with us.... remember is to us like drinking water in the desert, so I thank you ,the one who share this with us for our memories, BREATH, WALK THIS EARTH, thanks, man !!!!!

It takes you back to the girl you knew with whom you'd walk joyfully in the rain, but by yourself, you wouldn't, the moments of getting to know her, the infatuation, the emotions your heart expresses with lightening speed and your adrenaline flowing like lava while you are with her. You become deaf to the world because nothing else matters except her near you.

EFor me this is THE song of my daughter. I played it an on my headphones an hour after I first held her and 18 years later she is stepping out the door to go to college, and as a father things will never quite be the same.....when I ok at her I always see the ghost of that wonderful little girl with a huge smile as she looked up at her Papa. That "ghost" will be the last thing I see on the moment I finally pass on. Thank you, Mr. Butler, and the wonderful, amazing Psychedelic Furs....the music of my life.

I saw the furs perform in Boston a few weeks back and they were letter perfect. X opened up. What a show. Mars was absolutely fantastic. Their drummer is perfection. Rich and Richard and Tim were spot on. They crushed it. Oh yeah, I need to say that Richard and Joe Strummer and Ian Mackaye and Noam Chomsky have been the biggest influences on my thinking throughout my life. "How can you believe in them; don't believe in anything" or "this is the pulse of fools like you who sound so red and turn so blue" or "open up your eyes just to check that you're asleep again" Cmon, Richard Butler is a legendary genious.

How wonderful to hear, see, and feel them perform live...at the Ventura Theater no less...for the 3rd time during the PFs illustrious career. This song opens up the floodgates of every emotion seemingly just as intensely, if not more, than when the song was "new" versus "timeless." Many have compared The Ghost in You to a time machine: I can't disagree about where my heart, spirit, and memory return while immersed in the beauty and intensity of emotions contained within. I'm so grateful this song exists. 💞🕊️💓🕊️💞

I heard this song on the radio going into work in downtown Dallas, TX many years ago (10 years at least) and loved it!!! It reminded me of the Moody Blues. I tried to find it not knowing the name of the song nor the group's name. Well, today coming home from the grocery store, KXT 91.7 in Dallas played this and I pulled off the road and grabbed my phone and looked at their site to see what it was. After all these years I found it and now I'm on a venture exploring the music of the Psychedelic Furs. Amazing!!!!!

@@laurarominger2073Yes! I have taken so many similar, yet different, actions in pursuit to find out about a song which I just had to hear, really listen to, and discover the musician(s) and song title. I used to play a game with my first love in which we'd challenge each other to name every song and artist. He had an $800 stereo system with radio and cassette player. I had a base model vehicle with no AC and no radio. Yet, I knew the song, musician or band, the lyrics, and... although no one else would probably ever see this side of him...we would sing our feelings in song to one another. I was able to participate in vocal performance on a semi professional basis on the side of all else. He easily could have been as well. He had an unexpectedly lovely falsetto voice which he surprised me with on a beautiful summer day on the way to Swami's in northern San Diego County when I was able to rent a 1-bedroom apartment 1 block back from the beach for $450/mo between my junior and senior years of college. The Ghost in You is truly a time machine for the heart, spirit, love lost in all manner of ways, and cherished memories seemingly placed within the time portal within this tender love song. 💞🕊️💓🕊️💞
