This video series is going to be the single most valuable resource on the internet for musical theatre writers. Thank you, JRB!!!

I like how the lyrics that introduce Aubrey Bernard and Conrad O’Brien talk about all their aspirations and what they value, but then the final lyric re Ethan Dobson only gives us the fact that he wants his name on a byline. The contrasts in their characters is clear from the outset before we’ve even met them.

I've been wanting to geek out about The Connector since it came out, and this series is a much-needed scratch to that itch. I absolutely love 'The Machine' as a descriptor for the sixteenth-notes at the beginning.

Hi Mr. Brown, Maestro Brown, Professor Brown... THIS is what the internet is for. Thank you so much. I'm 24 and just moved to NY. Aspiring MT writer and huge fan of your work. These videos are invaluable. I hope to meet you some day to express my gratitude!

Such a cool groove in the second verse, and the last beat of bar 56 pins my ears back every time. Love it.

I'm a 44 y/o MT composer and your hair is a magnificent inspiration to take the hit on the awkward phase and grow my own out.
