I honestly think these videos are the best resource for Helix owners. You’ve introduced us to many amps I wouldn’t even think of trying. I can’t thank you enough.

Awesome again Jason, your making my choices so difficult between both new models! My question me seem a bit strange , we run a jam night every week and I have to have suitable tones for any player who wants to get up, at present I’m running the helix floor into the power cab plus on the creamback setting then using the helix on Cali ch1 clean then with crunch , med od then heavy with a solo boost at the end , verb always on switchable comp,univibe,chorus and delay to try to cover all angles best I can for myself and ease of use for jammers Is there a way to have for example one of your rigs with your clean,pushed od and dist with a switchable solo boost on any of these and switchable chorus or delay as well I know it may seem a lot to ask but maybe you can help as this placater model seems fantastic as well as the job you’ve done on the Cali Cheers Alan
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Alan :-) What you describe wouldn't be hard to do at all! If you could email me with that request at jay@sadites.com I will see what I can do!

Awesome well done... Would love to hear your take on some really chimey pristine clean tones... ie: images and words era Dream Theater clean tones...

Love your videos, Jason! Do you have a video that explane how to change guitars, tunings, acc and electric within a snap shot? I’m using a Variax JTV 59. Best regards Geir
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Geir :-) Unfortunately, I do not own a Variax so likely would not be of much help in this department. So sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Hi Jason, great video as always. I was thinking that now the Powercabs are out that you could may be do some Helix patches designed to play through the Powercab with certain speakers selected on the cab. I'm sure Line6 will give you a Powercab for that purpose ;-)
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Andrew :-) I am supposed to have a PowerCab coming in the very near future and will be doing lots of videos with it!

Hi Jason, another great video, thanks! One of the fattest fusion lead tones ever, in my opinion, must be Carlos Rios' on the 1978 Gino Vannelli album Brother To Brother. Any idea how to replicate that sound? I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere he used some kind of Dumble amp (ODS?) on those sessions.
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Tom :-) I will have to listen to Carlos tone on that album again but I remember really loving that one. Would be a good one to examine!

hey i like your vids and the placater has been my goto amp for over a year. I tried to use sample your helix file for this placater 2.60 version and my editor says the file you have on customtone has "failed to import 1 or more preset, model used in preset not recognized?" Big orange banner across my computer. I can download other stuff, first problem I've had... have you had other complaints? I'd like to get a feel for what you've done on this patch... thx,, Dennis
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much and glad you like the videos :-) Anytime anybody has had a hard time loading the presets, it was pretty much always that they were on an older version of HX Edit. Try installing the latest version of HX Edit and it will likely solve the problem..let me know if it works for you!

Jason, Very Good. Thanks. A question: when you use delay in your patches for recording, do you set Helix or Native to sync the delays with the song tempo? Best, RB-
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Robert :-) Yes I always sync the delay to the song tempo. I even do it live bu using tap tempo. Thanks for asking!

Any chance you can do the mesa boogie cali IV series next? I find the rhythm channel 2 to be basically unusable. channel 1 is great and lead is fine with with the drive basically dimed. idk i know they're supposed to be great amps but i'm having a hard time with them.
@JasonSadites6 жыл бұрын
I don't mind doing those amp models at all :-) I actually just finished shooting this week's Dialing In... video tonight which will be released Thursday but let me try and get to those next week!

Really do appreciate these videos but unless someone has the exact same equipment and playing style as you do it's never going to sound the same. I learned that the hard way spending thousands on equipment that I judged by youtube videos.
