Not a problem mate, hope you find it useful!

ive built various waterchange systems and learnt a thing or too, but i would recommned making the overflow draining as large as you can, i open a value on a rack that does 18 tanks and the combined overflow is more than expected, to a piont where i had to upgrade to a 40mm hose and a 100mm overflow catch pipe so it didnt back flow

Cheers for the suggestion mate, I'll see how this goes, if the flow is too much I can always do a row at a time. I'm actually looking forward to running it for the first time and seeing what things I can learn from this.

Been eagerly awaiting this part 2! All those pieces on the floor had me thinking why I enjoy this stuff so much, its an adult meccano set 🤣

I hope it was worth the wait mate! Haha yeah its so true. It really is like lego for adults!

love the idea Jason! I loved the longer more detail packed video as well haha but a water change system like this is something im 100% incorporating in my new fish room! loved it!

Thanks heaps Bodgie! It's so difficult to decide whether to do one HUGE video or split them up. There are more to come as I am currently still building it! But I do think its interesting to slowly document the progress. Great to hear mate, but if I was to do these tanks over, I would possibly drill them and do a drip system. So maybe give that some thought too.

Great idea Jason! I use cam locks on my magnum canister, but what you’re designing here looks pretty ingenious! Good luck to you

I am sure it will work, failure is not contemplated

Cheers mate, hopefully it does!

I think you need more ball valves. I recommend having 1 valve per tank, specially if you use your system to also refill the tanks because the tanks won't refill at the same speed.

Yeah mate, every tank has one. I mentioned it last week.

how do you get the suction going on the pipes to drain?
@JasonsCichlids Жыл бұрын
Connect the system to your garden hose. Fill it up with water until you see water entering your tanks. Then, close all the ball values. This will hold the siphon until you open the ball valves back up. Hope that makes sense.
