Thank you! I’ve really enjoyed playing this guitar and have used it for practically all of my shows this year. It’s also held up nice with the humidity here in FL

Had my Zager Zad50 Mahogany for two years now and its awesome. The Florida humidity is great for the guitar ! I also have a Guild Westerly D140 and it sounds different.

Awesome man. I’ve been using this guitar primarily all of 2024 for my live shows. It’s been a workhorse and has held up nicely in the extreme heat we had this summer

My father was wanting to buy me and him a ZAD900CE as a gift for us to share in 2023. I knew nothing about Zager, so I studied up on them and saw all the bad things people were saying. I tried to get him to buy a Martin, Taylor, Gibson, or a Guild but he insisted on the Zager. The Zager is actually a pretty nice guitar. It feels good to play and sounds great. Also a very pretty guitar. I pair it with a Seagull S6 on my recordings and get some great tones. By the way, Seagulls are a awesome guitar for the price. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the company's transparency, and if it were my money I probably would have bought something different. But I don't think anyone who buys the Zager should feel cheated by any means.
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth Ай бұрын
Yeah man, I'd like for them to just list where it's made. I personally don't care where that is - all that matters is that it plays and sounds good. But it would benefit them to be transparent about that.

Jason - Are you being honest about your opinion of Zager ZAD900ce? So many negative postings about the company, marketing and pricing.

@jasonstallworth 8 күн бұрын
@@ronaldbertrand338 yeah I’ve seen those too and it seems many are upset about not knowing where they’re made, which address towards the end of the video. Part of me would like to know more details but part of me doesn’t care. It plays good, sounds good, and I played tide guitar for all 2024 live shows, 2-3x a week and still playing it now. That’s all I have to go by

I don't know the model number but I'm 99% sure that Martin designed an acoustic for the electric guitar player. That might be exactly what you're looking for. I thought it sounded and played great, but it was a little out of budget for me, and I am a Taylor man. Thanks for another acoustic rig update. It's why I'm subscribed.

Thank you for subscribing (I’ve thought of doing a separate channel for live acoustic as this channel is known for metal!) Yeah my Martin plays really nice. The Zager has been great for my solos too
@MarkJohnsonJams
@MarkJohnsonJams 4 ай бұрын
I feel like comparing the 3 guitars, acoustically the Martin is the brightest, the Takamine has the most low end and the Zager is the most balanced. Love your acoustic gig videos Jason! That Zager is a work of art!

I find it problematic that the company is so dishonest, in the description of the guitars and, especially, where the instruments are built. If the goal, for Denny Zager, was to build guitars in the USA, he failed. I'm okay with the guitars being made in Indonesia, which is where they are made. I just don't understand why Denny and Dennis. Jr aren't up front an honest. They are not built in Nebraska. Period. They are Indonesian made, decent guitars that are way overpriced. I own one. It served it's purpose when I bought it. But. Knowing all the deception -had I known it then, I would have bought a MiM Martin for less money

The Martin without a doubt sounds the best. I’m a little confused, you’re getting a commission through the link for the guitar but you don’t know where it made? Red flag, just my opinion.
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth Ай бұрын
For one, I think many are biased to brands. Secondly, affiliate links are ‘red flags’ as you suggest. I actually promote all of products that I use. And many KZbinrs have affiliate links to products they’re reviewing or using as well. This is nothing new…

I like that. I play 60 percent of the time my Taylor or Guild acoustic doing like Simon and Garfunkel and Bob Dylan and all that great hippie 60. And 70s acoustic. Then 40 percent of time on my Jackson and esp and start and bc rich doing AC/DC, priest Metallica and maiden and Slayer and van hallen and more. I can't be one sided on guitar and be happy I think my acoustic playing helps my metal guitar playing and it takes several styles to fulfill my souls needs. I use no pick on acoustic only finger picking and hand strumming. With all that being said I believe it keeps you sharp and helps your skills and interests sharp.

Zager buys Chinese guitars and puts their name on them...for years it was guitars made in the same Chinese factory that produced the "Sigma" Martin line of guitars...Zager has been running this scam for 30 years ... lmao
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth 3 ай бұрын
First question is have you even played a Zager guitar? Secondly, where's your source of information coming from, and how did you validate that source? Not arguing...just curious. So please feel free to include that if you see this. Aside from that, having a 'Made is the USA' stamp does not automatically mean 'good quality.' I talked about this towards the end, which I'm sure you didn't get that far. And if this was truly made in China as you claim, this Chinese guitar plays and sounds pretty damn good! (again, points on this were made towards the end)

Zager wants people “rookies” in particular to think they are getting some amazing guitar. It’s an import that shouldn’t be anywhere close to $2,400 IMO
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth 2 ай бұрын
@ Hmmm…I don’t think Sammy Hagar is a ‘rookie.’ And several other notable artists play Zager guitars. There are other brands that have guitars in the same price range that aren’t made in the good ole USA. But none of that should really matter. What matters is does it play and sound good to you, regardless what f brand or price.
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth 2 ай бұрын
@@stephenedgecock yes, but google isn’t always correct (as with many things). Consider the source. But I’m not gonna try to convince anyone. The video here is just my personal experience with the guitar. And unlike many, I’m not biased to the big brands.
