Jason. You are truly the most down to earth guys I’ve seen on KZbin that not only teach valuable guitar tips but also connect with your audience on a personal level. My brother has been playing for about 25 years now & it’s always been my dream to jam with him. For my birthday this year he bought me a PRS SE. I’ve only been playing for a few months but man I’m having so much fun with it, and I credit your videos to helping me get better and believe I too can shred. 🍻

My Marshall amps came with somewhere cheesy speaker cables. I bought a DeLisle amp/speaker switch (4 amps/speakers model) and need more cables. I bought a couple d’Addario Classic speaker cables, thicker and more flexible so the strands are likely finer (but also more strands, which does more efficiently move current) and is more flexible. (At least for welders’s or battery cables this holds true). As your guitar and effects need good quality (not Monster or hype giant cables) wouldn’t the speaker cable matter? As a sound guy Id respect your opinion. The d’Addario classic series are $12 on Sweetwater so not expensive. I’ve used their cables as fx loop cables with success. Read “availability”

I'm going to have to grab this on the first when I get paid, I love the way you go through things, I'm still playing the melodic lick from the last video and adding some things to it to change it up. I'll have to combine it with this and turn it into something.

Hi there, just saw your video. I'm just starting up and all I use is a small yamaha acoustic amp instead of a sound board. Any suggestions?
@jasonstallworthКүн бұрын
You could get away with an amp but you’d need something for vocals (unless the amp has that capability). That should work for small venues

Hi Jason. I really like this pedal, but I do find it to have too much unwanted noise. Is there a way to keep the noise down when playing live?
@jasonstallworth2 күн бұрын
Yes, as I mentioned in the video it's best to use a noise gate. I just decided not to use anything additional for this video. But I will soon be creating a fly rig with a noise gate and other effects so stay tuned.

Is there such a thing as too much engagement? I don't think you should speak to the audience after every song. They want music not much conversation. Though I'm not implying you're doing that.
@jasonstallworth3 күн бұрын
You’re right about that…and I typically may only say something 2x within a set (45 min-1 hr). But it also depends on the venue and the crowd. Most are like that for me but there’s one brewery I play at that has more of a neighborhood feel to it and that’s where a lot of my fellow musicians hang out, so I love got more freedom to engage and such. So it’s more about gauging the atmosphere, people, and venue.

@@richard135b7 yeah man there’s rarely a one size fits all. Most of the time we’re background music providing the ambiance. There are other times when you may have a lively crowd or more laid back, free flowing gig
