**New Ellie and Reagan Video!!! • Great Dane Puppy Runs/... **
Ellie the great dane runs around and plays at Cape Disappointment in Washington State.
Some folks have asked questions about Ellie, so I will try to answer a few: she was born in the summer of 2009, so she's still quiet young in this video. She eats an all natural grain free food, but until she was fully grown (about two years old) we kept her on a lower protein food to avoid causing her too grow too fast than is healthy. Ellie is a great dog and we absolutely love her. Stay tuned for videos of Ellie and her new little sister!
Many of you comment on her weight, wondering if perhaps she is too skinny. According to our vet, Ellie is the ideal weight for such a big dog. Yes she looks very slender, but she has wonderful muscle development and is healthy. When large dogs gain weight, it can be hard on their hips and can result in many health issues.

Even if that's every day. That dog is in amazing shape. It didn't get that way by being chained up all the time. That Dane is clearly less than a year old. When my Dane was that age, in the first snow she ran for an hour like a snowmobile by herself up and down hills, nonstop.

Wonderful video! That's clearly a happy and well-loved dog. Vids like these will be treasured later, especially when the dog grows old and passes on. I just lost my great dane/lab mix (but he looked and acted very "dane") almost a month ago, and I still tear up thinking about him. He was a sweetheart and I wish I had more videos of him. He was my pal for 10 years and he didn't have a mean bone in his body. They truly are a special breed.

Love the way you kept your dane lean. Look at her hind legs, so strong! I watched your video when my dane puppy was 3 month old, he's got hip dysplasia. I admire your dane's healthy posture and the fact she could run like that. Your video inspired me. I let my dane run and play freely, didn't limit to only 15 mins walking no running advice from the vet. Now my baby dane is 7 month old. He's in very good shape, has strong hinds. I'd rather him be happy and health at his early years than restrict him too much that he might miss out his best years and end up with weak joints and weak muscles. Thank you again for your video!
