I love those beamed ceilings in the kitchen and the open stairs. The porches are nice. Swap the frig with the pantry putting the frig over by the window, it may give the kitchen a bigger feel. Add a small window in the upstairs bathroom for ventilation. The house could be a bit wider giving more living room space.

I'm in my 70's so I'm not fond of bath tubs, but this house is very nicely set up, and I would sleep in the downstairs bedroom and use the one upstairs for guests.

Wonderful tiny house (646 sq ft) that feels big, but taking on the minimalist approach. Love the floor plan. Nice entrance with storage and coats, love the door in the laundry area. The wrap around deck makes with the fire place and seating area helps the house feel bigger and more inviting. A fun second home/cabin/retreat without breaking the budget, again less is more.

Oh my stars, I want to live there, for real!! What an outstanding little starter/retirement/retreat cabin! I hope you sell the plans for this one, truly! A couple small adjustments I would request: Make the stairs wider and straighter, even if that makes the house a bit larger to accommodate them. Make a shed dormer on the back of the house to add some headroom in the upstairs bathroom. By the way, are you familiar with porch swings? That's what I would put on the porch instead of that six-seat dining table. A porch swings is an old-fashioned feature from the southern and middle parts of the U.S. Another tradition from these areas is painting the porch ceiling the color of the sky - that's supposed to ward off spirits or ward off wasps, depending on who you ask. It is both pretty and traditional, whatever the reason.

Very beautiful home. Love the colour palette but I would reduce the windows in the living room and dining area from three to two panel windows. Needs more wall space for portraits! Great job!

Good entry. Kitchen is quite cramped. The angled steps are hazardous and there's enough space to avoid having them. The upstairs suite is great!

@tness I guess you'd have to get Ikea assemble-it-yourself, or use inflatable furniture. ;-) Planners don't always think of situations like that..

Lovely little home. I would prefer a slightly larger kitchen with a bit more storage space and slightly larger living room with a wood burning stove which can heat an entire home. I love the loft living space but when our time comes to avoid stairs, we need a downstairs bedroom large enough for our bedroom furniture.
