Very homey house. With the one-over-one paneled doors, it hearkens to the early part of the last century. I especially like the push-button light switches; a very antique touch. Are these still available? I like the generous front porch, the foyer that allows one to gracefully enter the house without suddenly being in the living room, the living room with good seating space and a relevant fireplace. Television placement might be an issue; perhaps a disappearing TV would preserve the charm of the space. The kitchen is attractive, but the cabinets should go to the ceiling, otherwise, the tops will become a repository for dusty seldom used items. There should be a light above the sink. The dining area is not cramped and has good light. I was concerned about laundry until I read your comment it is under the stairs. The stairs seem a bit steep and definitely need a handrail. There needs to be a door to the knee-wall area behind the bed; this starts off tall enough to provide a lot of storage. For me, I'd use the downstairs bedroom as a study/away room, with a Murphy bed for guests. That is, until I got old enough to not want to use the stairs all the time, at which point the downstairs bedroom would become my mainstay.

Jasper, the house is very nice! There are a lot of doors that we don’t know what is behind them. Can you open them or label them with what is behind them? And the stairs! I am only 4 foot 11 inches tall and I could never climb those, needs fixed please.

It's a pretty cottage that would fit in nicely on on infill lot in an older American neighborhood. It has great curb appeal. The concept is fine, but there are a few practical things to consider: The stairs are wickedly steep and surely not legal - to be that steep in real life, they would need to be alternating treads to be usuable. The back door should be wider and a little farther from the fridge. Is the closet in the downstairs bath just a linen closet, or is it big enough for a stack washer/dryer? Either way, I'd have the bathroom door swing against the wall rather than against the closet door. The dining table and chairs seem shrunken, like childrens' furniture, or is my perception faulty? The dining space looks like only a small dinette could fit - which would be okay in a little house. Overall, I think making the house a little larger would be justified. Maybe 28' or 30' x 34'? Then you'd be able to have legal-sized stairs and a functional back door.

There is an odd appendage on the rear of the building. It could be an afterthought to contain the missing laundry machines or, in the old days, it might have been the privy. The entry appears to have a coat closet. Points for that! The open wood fireplace is an energy-waster, and I'd have my builder omit it. The narrow, wedge-shaped stairs look hazardous, especially since there is no handrail (usually required by code), and the risers are steeper than permitted by most codes. The small downstairs bedroom has a narrow but deep closet. The kitchen has adequate counter space but almost no upper cabinets. There is no pantry. The upstairs tub would be very difficult to use with a shower.

Ma sì che c'è la dispensa, è proprio la strana appendice sul retro! Che farei lunga quanto la zona pranzo e ne ricaverei la zona lavartici ahimè scomparsa. La scala è da rivedere o si può salirla solo a carponi e scenderla a carponi in retromarcia.

I wish in the virtual tours you’d spend less time showing us the bedroom walls & pillows on the bed & spend longer in the bathrooms & show the closet size. Also too much time was spent showing the dining room (it’s a table & chairs…we know what they look like) & didn’t fully show the kitchen & what I assume is the pantry? I really like to see closet sizes, pantry size, how much storage in the bathrooms…plus, where was the laundry? If you’re not going to show these things on the tour, a blue print at the end diagraming/labeling these spaces would work. I really like this plan but was frustrated by what wasn’t shown. It reminds me of an old farmhouse design which I really liked❤️

Lose the bad art and useless table and expand the bookcase in the LR. And all the upstairs futniture must have been assembled there. No way are you getting furniture up that tightwinder stairwell.
