Don't suggest them Panic Puri , Paan unless they are comfortable with ingredients and. Biryani, Gulab Jamun unless they are comfortable with taste

Generally Scandinavian Irish, French and dutch people don't like Indian food while English, Italian, kind of somewhat like it and Spanish, Portuguese would like it to large extent. Its first due to texture and selection of spicy food that is made popular on social media for particular type of views. Actually Indian food is vast and options for almost palates except cold sea and seafoods due to its geography. One has to just find it for their palate and taste buds

Absolutely not. And idk why that would be a stereotype anyways. Not all white ppl like the same foods and flavors. Just like not all black ppl like hot foods. Just like not all Mexicans like cheese or peppers. And I'm sure not all Indians like lamb. I'm white and I have to have tons of seasoning on anything I eat or I can't eat it. And I have to have my foods saucyyyyy. Like what she's saying it to suacy, is def not. Spice and sauce is cooking. U can't just throw plain food in an oven or grill or whatever and then just FN eat it???? Idk any white human that doesn't season the shit out of their foods Not all stereotypes are for every single human just bc their a certain race. Common since. If that's the case then.... Ha ha ha I won't go there. But no.... U can't take a stereotype or the way one picky eater is eaten and say "oh that's all -insert race-. They all do that". Doesn't matter what race u are. Is the stereotype that any black man who's with a white woman doesn't work and the white woman does the man shit while the black man sita on his ass and pkays games?? Is the stereotype that all black men like their women over 200 pds? Is the stereotype that all black women carry hot sauce and only put hot cause on their foods and nothing else real???? No? Exactly!

No matter where ur from there is food ur not gonna like and that ur gonna love. Alligator? So just bc ur from Louisiana and Cajun u have to like alligator.... Just bc she's American she has to like nasty fish??? I have ate Indian food before and it is gross to me. So I can see why they thought it was gonna be different. It has nothing to do with across the world views. Everyone does this. Same when ppl come to America the first time and hit the most famous American foods! I mean there's TV shows about doing this. Y'all just hating bc ur offensive ur Indian or something idk?? But they didn't do anything wrong in this video. Not everyone's gonna like the same crap. I think the generalized indian food outside is mostly dal, curries nd fried stuff, mango lassi.. oh nd naan "bread" (yes it is annoying when ppl call it that 😂) Thing is every region has their own food.. Like if you come to south of india we use more steam cooking for everyday food, north east regions use a lot of fermentation.. so we do have a lottt of different variations of food but outside of india its little generalized
@kyakaruvlogs27844 ай бұрын
You guys got something like fusion Indian food. You don't usually find such dishes in India, barring the samosa. Also Indian Lamb/Mutton dishes are never chewy. Infact they cook lamb till it melts in the mouth. Most probably the restaurant wasn't a very good one. Anyway India is almost a continent with many countries in one. Communities, cultures, cuisines change after every 100 mile. There are 28 states a handful of Union Territories and each state will offer you atleast 2-3 cuisines. So I hope you get the picture of how diverse India actually is. Also there is no such thing as an Indian cuisine but a list of cuisines from India. And there is no such thing as curry spice in India. Curry basically translates to a sauce or gravy cooked with different spices and which spices are cooked together, defines the curry. Barbequed and fried items are not curries unless a sauce or gravy is added to the dish. The north indian curries are dairy based whereas the south indian curries are coconut based. You will also find plenty of cuisines to try from various regions in India. When you order Indian food ask the restaurant folks which cuisine does the dish you ordered belong to or which state. Or you could just cook it yourself too. The more popular cuisines outside India are - Mughlai cuisine - (North Indian) dishes eg Mughlai chicken, Changezi, Nihari, Mughlai Paratha, Haleem, Keema, Pulao, Kadai, Pasanda, Rogan Gosh, Mughlai biryani,etc Punjabi cuisine - (North Indian) eg Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Sarson ka Saag, Rajma chawal, Palak Paneer, Amritsi Kulcha, Chole Bhature, Chana Masala, Dal Makhani, Naan, Bhatura etc Tamil cuisine - (South Indian) eg Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, Vada, Chettinad Chicken, Chicken 65, Sambar, Pongal, Payasam, Upma, Ambur Biryani etc Malyalee/Kerela cuisine - (South Indian) eg Prawns in coconut gravy, karimeen fish, Beef Masala fry, Puttu, Appam, Idiyappam, Fish Molee, Thalassery Biryani, Banana chips etc Awadhi cuisine - (North Indian) eg Musallam, do Pyaaza, Korma, Galouti Kebabs, Malai kofta, Rumali roti, Chaat, Aloo gobhi, Gulab Jamun, Badami Chicken, Lucknowi biryani etc Bengali cuisine- (East Indian) eg Fish in Mustard gravy, Mutton Kosha and Chaap, Mishti Doi, Prawn Malaikari, Bhapa Ilish, Muri Ghonto,Aloo Poshto, Luchi, sandesh, rasogulla, Jhal Muri, Kolkata Biryani etc Goanese cuisine- (West Indian) eg Vindaloo, Xacuti, Cafreal, Sorpotel, Bebinca, Dangar, etc Gujrati cuisine - (West Indian) eg Dhokla, Khandhvi, Khakra, Shrikhand, Kadhi, Thepla, etc Marathi cuisine - (West Indian) eg Pav Bhaji, Misal Pav, Vada Pav, Chicken Kolhapuri, Batata Vada, Modak, Bhakarvadi, etc Andhra cuisine (South Indian) - Pulihora, Pootharerkulu, Ulava Chaaru Indo-chinese - Chowmein, momos, manchurian chicken/pork, sweet & sour pork, chilly chicken/pork, springrolls, Szechwan, etc If you find any other cuisine other than these, then it's an added bonus. Dishes from my community are exotic and you won't find them in Indian cities, except places which are within 100miles from where I am. That is again how diverse India is. Indian food is definitely spicy, as in a whole gamut of spices are used as ingredients while preparing the dishes, hence it's very flavorful. But that does not mean every dish packs in heat. Only dishes which have a significant amount of chilly peppers will be hot. Infact some dishes are even on the sweeter side because of the use of dairy products and dried fruits. A typical Indian meal is eaten in a thali. A thali refers to the plate that a thali meal may be served on. The idea behind a thali is to offer all the 6 different flavours of sweet, salt, bitter, sour, astringent and spicy on one single plate. According to Indian food custom, a proper meal should be a perfect balance of all these six flavours. So a typical normal Indian thali would consist of the following- 1. Rice 2. Flat bread 3. Lentil soup (dal) 4. Appetizer ( papad/Papadum) 5. Fried vegetable 6. Vegetable cooked in a gravy sauce 7. Fresh salad vegetable 8. Choice of Meat (chicken/mutton/fish) 9. Curd 10. Pickles / chutneys 11. Sweet dish Dishes served in a thali vary from region to region and cuisine to cuisine in the Indian subcontinent and are usually served in small bowls, called katori in India. These katoris are placed along the edge of the round tray, the actual thali. Sometimes a steel tray with multiple compartments is also used. The number of dish items may increase if you are inviting a guest home. But in some restaurants, people go overboard with the thali concept, where, each thali consist of 40-50 dishes. You can search for- Dara Singh thali Bahubali thali Big Boss Thali Ravan Thali to get an idea of what I mean. Here are some Thalis from different states - food-ndtv-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/food.ndtv.com/food-drinks/13-grand-indian-thalis-you-need-to-try-at-least-once-in-your-life-1758079?amp_js_v=a6&_gsa=1&=1&akamai-rum=off#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Ffood.ndtv.com%2Ffood-drinks%2F13-grand-indian-thalis-you-need-to-try-at-least-once-in-your-life-1758079 The most important thing about Thalis is their unlimited refills concept. Here are some tips on eating Indian food - 1. Start off with starters like a kebab or tandoori platter usually served with tamarind sauce, mint or yoghurt sauce. 2. Next we then have the flat bread (roti, chapati, naan, puri, paratha, kulcha, bhatura) www-indiafoodnetwork-in.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.indiafoodnetwork.in/amp/food-stories/the-ultimate-guide-to-the-breads-of-india/?amp_js_v=a6&_gsa=1 with some of the side dishes, either vegetarian or non vegetarian curry aka gravy aka sauce. You tear the bread and scoop out the meat along with sauce/gravy/curry. The warmer the bread the more the flavors and less chewy. 3. Then we take the rice into the plate and have it with the lentils or veg/meat sauce/gravy/curry and clean it all up. The hotter the rice, the more chance your mouth will get burnt. And If you having the biryani rice, you take it with a salan gravy and a raita based yoghurt dip. And it's a complete meal on its own. There are 20+ varieties of biryanis depending on which community is cooking it and the region from where it's from. And many will argue that vegetable Biryani is not a biryani. www.whatsuplife.in/different-variety-types-biryani-india 4. Finally finish off with a sweet desert either gulab jamun, rasogulla, kheer, payasam, barfi, sandesh etc We don't scoop out the bread and rice and the sauces/gravy/ curries together at the same time. Also many people eat samosas in their meals on KZbin but then Samosas are usually eaten as a snack during tea time. Also some people have just the bread or rice along with the side dishes as eating both bread and rice at the same time can be too heavy in a single meal. If I may suggest , perhaps if you do want to try out food from India, you can choose, if possible, one cuisine, say Punjabi or Mughlai, grab 3-4 items from that cuisines and have it. Then try another cuisine for the next round. If you are eating with your hands, especially rice, you pour the curry sauce on the rice then use your fingers (not the palm) to roll the rice to somthing like a ball, then take the thumb behind the rice ball, take your hand close to your mouth, and then push the rice into your mouth with your thumb. Would love to see you try out another Indian meal.

I'm from UK, we LOVE our takeaway here (though I sometimes call it takeout), Indian is our 3rd most popular takeaway here. You probably should've tried to have Indian when you were in UK. This is the most American video I've ever seen from you guys! ("wife-beater"😅, I forgot for a sec that you guys are American, we call them vest here) Love you guys so much!🥰

Saying your not gonna like Indian food without even tasting it is actually very offensive and it hurts the minority of Indians that are in the US… Just kidding guys… Katie’s scares before eating was very hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣… I have been watching you guys for a long time… Love from India ❤

14:47: i feel like onions are just an essential part of Indian cuisine. But yeah, onions are like my bread and butter. I love anything with onions. Steak and onions. Burgers and onions. Blooming onions from outback’s. Fajita onions. Onion ring. If I go to an Indian buffet, I mob the tandoori platter and a lot of my plate is just onions. I am also unapologetically carnivorous. Love meat of all kinds 😅

You guys should really try South Indian food, it really suits the American palette. My sister’s husband is also American and he absolutely loves onion rawa Dosa. You guys should also try Idli Sambar. All these foods are not spicy and great for your tummy and not as heavy.

yah, I think she would like Punjabi food over the others, due to her aversion to chilli spice. Amristari Kulcha Paneer Tikka Shahi Paneer Tandoori Chicken Palak Paneer Dal Makhani Amristari Fish Also you need to try: Biryani (chicken or mutton) Chole Bhature (chickpea and baked bread) Mango Kulfi Pista/Koya burfi Rogan Josh Pork And Dried Bamboo Strips (north east Indian) Masor Tenga Malai Kofta Aloo Gobi Butter Chicken (the most common Indian dish) Keema (lamb, goat, beef) w/ naan South Indian: Appam and Ishtu (coconut milk-based curry and rice-based flatbread) Hyderabadi Biryani (spicy, but you eat it with the yogurt to cool it down) Masala Dosa Avial/Errissery El Sadhya Kerala Fish Curry (spicy) Vindaloo (spicy chicken, beef, pork, lamb) Chicken 65 Beef fry and parotta (spicy beef chunks with pastry like flatbread) Madras Curry Chicken Goan Fish Curry Andra chicken Fry Also what happened to the desserts? Garjar Ka Halwa Kulfi Galub Jamun Lassi Milk Cake (similar to other Indian desserts)

we generally don't eat these fried daily that's like fried foods like rolls and wraps cutlet samosas biryani panner masala chola bhatura all are ocassional food due to there heaviness, We generally eat simple wheat roti like whole grain chapati ,where as when it it maid with while flour that is naan which is occasional onece a week or once in two weeks and we generally have home made curries with peas lentils and chicken and all ❤❤, obviosly outside india people don't keep daily home food in restaurant they will serve there best dishes or popular dishes 😅😅 also 17:56 that should be eaten with roti or naan or rice, roti is healthier version while naan is not so healthier

Guys, I love your content, but as I'm from India, I just suggest guys few things, INDIA is known for the best food in the world, the second thing is please ask someone who is from India not the restaurant people but customers, and then order the food because half of them are not really Indian food that you guys have ordered, and the rice with gravy curry was panner and its completely VEG. Next time make content with some basic knowledge guys because you guys have a good following so please be careful and do your research before.

It’s not butter masala, it’s Paneer butter masala. Paneer is basically a kind of cheese. It’s a great source of protein, it’s the best when it’s fresh. It’s almost like tofu, but with a lot more fat content.

I am sorry if this is rude, but you guys did not try real Indian food. I am Indian and I know you had Americanized Indian food. Please go try some real Indian food at a restaurant or better yet, go to India and try It there! Our food is VERY GOOD, and saying you would not like before even trying it and that you had “no expectations” is just disrespectful to us. Also we do have healthier options and vegetarian options if what you had seemed “unhealthy” for you. Please do more research before eating our food. Also lamb and goat are pretty popular in India so if you don’t like those types of meats DONT EAT INDIAN FOOD! I really recommend you try Tandoori Chicken, mango lassi (drink) Chicken Tikka Masala, Biryani ( you can have chicken goat or lamb in it or just veggies) paneer, dal (like a stew) Naan ( type of bread you eat with dishes) Paratha, Butter Chicken, Pakoras, Aloo Gobi. Desserts: Gulab jamun Jalebi, Rasgulla, Barfi, and Halwa. YOUR WELCOME!
