After finishing the 3.5 first hours on KZbin, I went to Udemy and purchased a total of 10 hours course of in JavaScript the weird parts. Before that I did a course to learn to be a FullStack developer, it cost me 5000$ and it was 2 meetings a week 9 hours each for a whole year (most of the time just imitating), and I didn't learn as much as I learned in your course, I suggested it to all my class and all my developer friends, I can honestly tell now, I don't imitate I understand! THANK YOU!

Tony, I have watched your original course more times than I can count, and have recommended more then to almost everyone I know who has a passion for development and who works with JS. It was the one of the first courses I watched which inspired me to do programming many years ago and I still watch it from time to time all these years later. The moment I saw this video I became ecstatically excited. It really made me think of the weird and wonderful world of programming, Thank you so much for doing this, it is worth more than I think you may know.

Tony, I thought you had left the world of teaching JavaScript and I kind of made peace with that. The moment I found that you’re back with a course already available, I swear to God, I didn’t even wait for the video to finish and jumped to Udemy to buy the course. I had the same enthusiasm as if waiting for the release of a long awaited movie sequel. The greatest teacher of all time. By far. And I’m saying this after my mom, aunts and grandma are/were teachers. I have recommended only your original JavaScript course to people who have never touched JavaScript when everyone else would recommended Maximilian’s course and I’ve told them all the same thing: You will go from Beginner to Advanced, yes, skipping Intermediate. This is how I felt and it helped me land my first web developer job where things like the prototype chain were actually part of the interview questions! I felt like I had been programming in JavaScript for several years, when it had only been a few months. This was after my depression, low motivation and low self esteem after graduating from school pursuing the software path. Thank you, A forever fan

I bought the course as soon as I seen this however I'm skeptical of you releasing it so early as it is incomplete and also offering us a bribe that if 5,000 of us buy it (an incomplete course mind you) you will include a special section for functional programming. It FEELS (which is my problem) like a money grab seeing as your HTML and CSS course came out just a few months ago. But judgement aside you are one of the only teachers I trust and you have a proven record of putting out nothing but the highest quality of information and you teach it so well.
@TonyAlicea
@TonyAlicea Жыл бұрын
Hi Shu. I’m trying something new. Feedback as I go. A new section is being released this week and I’m recording almost every day. As far as the 5,000 thing goes, well…it’s called “sales”. This is my business and how I take care of myself and my family after all. :) Plus recording takes a lot of time and effort, so if enough people aren’t interested it isn’t worth my time and I should move on to the next topic, after a reasonable amount of content. Thanks for the trust!
@shu9460
@shu9460 Жыл бұрын
@@TonyAlicea thanks for the response Tony! I also want to say I am not totally against this model of pre-releasing a course and developing content for it based on feedback. This is new for me so it does rock the boat a little as does any change but if this does become a successful model for you I am on board with it as well and totally support it especially if this means getting content from you released faster and sooner. I think you have an amazing gift and skill for teaching that if possible needs to be shown to the world as frequently as it can
