The journalist was more pro Polisario than the actor. The question that should be asked is why no one could to do anything. It is simple because the outcome is far worst if the Sahara was stripped from Morocco. Bad for the region and mostly bad for Europe.. Morocco is the only stable country in north Africa. Moroccans also are attached to their territorial integrity so much that they are willing to go to war at any moment. Algeria should be blamed for the situation of these poor refugees because they are politically used. Like any refugees worldwide, they should offered jobs and housing or at least set them free..

We, Moroccans, feel we have been harmed to a lot as far as the integrity of our territorial unity is concerned. To understand the reasons behind the Western Sahara conflict one has to understand first the nature of the relashioship between Morocco and Algeria even before this conflict was sparkled. The Algerian petrodollar has made many journalists turn out to be pro-polisario without any conviction. Many reporters and documentary makers have sold their souls to the ones who pay more. The propaganda of those who created this conflict has been very fierce. Morocco has been legally fighting for what is his legal right but his neighbour Algeria who created this sahraoui separatist movement during the cold war has spent billions of dollars on training and arming polisario and lobbying against Morocco. The new generations after the spanish withdrawal from the Sahara have been brainwashed by falsified history and fabricated lies. The Sahraoui people are led to believe that Morocco is colonizing a territory which is not his. The military junta that govern Algeria is not interested in the independence of the separatists as much much as it is interested in creating an llegimate state that guarantees them to have an open access to the Atlantic coast. Even the UN has never labelled this conflict as occupation. The Wester Sahara is referred to in the United Nations document as: "Disputed territory"

If you do a Referendum in Basque Country it will be like 15% for independence while in the Sahara it will be like 80 or 90 % for independence. Not the same case. From a basque.

But we are not a colonised territory recognized in UN as that in opposition to West Sahara that under international law in which still oficially Spain is the colonial administrator that must grant the Referendum of Independence to Sahara the same way the French did with all it´s black territories or we did with Guinea. It´s our duty to grant the referendum.And if you invest in the Sahara and grant nationality have you expelled to the desert the natives and build a wall in the best Israeli style to avoid the native people to return to their land? The people living in tents in south Algeria claiming to be from the Moroccan Sahara are a mixture of Algerians Some Moroccans and Libyans. They were created by Algeria and Libya to cause problems to Morocco. Even so, everyone including the Media know that they were invited to go back to Morocco and have a good life with their families, but they refused. I cannot believe that they stayed for over 30 years, and with all the money they are getting from around the world, they did not even built toilets for their kids, what kind of people would live in those conditions. They are being paid, getting money without lifting a finger. If JB was reliable in his arguments, even Moroccans might have considered his cause, I think it's all a political driven big Lie. It's obvious where the financing comes from. Indeed, he is the last one to give lessons. The Sahara is a disputed territory with a valid Moroccan position and also a reasonable desire to self-administration by some locals. Now, the neighbouring Oil rich neighbour controlled by Army generals is spending millions of dollars on the very few separatists for its own interests, causing Morocco and it's population precious resources that could have better served in improving education or health care. Yet Morocco with limited resources is maintaining stability and fighting to maintain it's moderate and sustainable growth model. It's a shame when humanity uses humanism for simple selfish interests. It's a shame to defend separation over unity, it's a shame to defend military regimes over hardworking democracy to be. It's a shame to use once fame to hurt 35 millions of normal individuals with different political views, pretending you're a militant for a super few freedom, while they're more than welcome to join their motherland and if they want to change, they can just contribute positively, through legal channels instead of selling their lives and trading their miseries for worse regime.
