Islam needs to make his own way. I feel like Islam depended too much on khabib’s cornering. I think khabib pulling back from cornering allows all fighters to stand independent on there skill. With khabib cornering people could always say “ oh they only win because khabib is cornering” Honour. Respect. 🦅 Khabib is very intelligent and strategic These are his biggest skills. He sees the big picture in stepping back

They need to get Khabib back for the biggest fights. The corner work during Islam vs Alex was extremely awful. Nobody understood what Islam was doing; he used ZERO trips, sweps, full guard and half guard positions amongst others

He just help them. He was in usa for negotiate umar opponent, also helping manap too. He is not coming back to cornering. He still help them on his own gym too

he didn't leave islam..he just stopped cornering . islam being the champ was the goal of everybody including khabib's father so khabib went all in to help him and he didn't see his family for a long time.. he just wants to not always travel and to not ever corner again. but he still helps them with advice..islam before fighting Volk said khabib text him many times a day and just after the fight he also called him and told we will work on the mistakes so he's still very much involved.
