Good Lord, not even five minutes into this review and already thinking "wow! What a hell of a review." This is perfect for any beginner...such as myself. I purchased one of these as my very first gas washer and feel a lot more confident about it. Glad I switched from electric to gas and made this Ryobi as my choice.

@MyDailyReviews - LOL, why thank you so much for the great compliment! It always puts a huge smile on my face to read a comment like this. It's a great feeling to know someone has enjoyed my video and found it helpful. This unit really does a great job and I'm willing to bet you're really going to be happy with your purchase. I think the electric models have their place, just not a good fit for what I use my pressure washer to do. Unless you spend a lot more money they just don't seem to have the pressure capabilities, however they are quieter and that is a nice benefit. Like any tool, there are different tools for different jobs.

This is the most informative thorough KZbin review that I’ve ever seen. Very professional quality. Royobi should put this video on DVD (pay you) and include it with their products. It would save their tech support team many phone calls. The 11 dislikes must be from Lowe’s reps. Awesome work!!👍🏾

I just bought this exact model and you video is an Excellent review and assembly instructions to top it off! Really helped me out, with 4 different sets of instructions (quick start guide, Honda motor manual, ryobi manual and, well 3 at least that they send with it and not all of them mention that 2 ounces of oil they leave in the oil tank so I was really glad you mentioned that because I had not noticed it in the instructions! Thanks for posting this!! Earned a like and subscribe!

@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Troy C - Hi Troy, thank you for the compliment! I did a quick search for you and looked at a few online manuals; it doesn't look like any of the Ryobi pressure washers give you an adjustable throttle option from what I can see. I think the closest you'll get to that is the idle down technology this one offers (as does the 3,000 psi model). If your just using it for around your house type of work (siding, driveway, cars, etc.) I bet you'll be real happy with the 3,000 psi model and you could save some cash as well. Very clear and informative review. Excellent job being concise without adding any unnecessary commentary. My 10 year old Briggs 2500 PSI pressure washer kicked the bucket last week and I've been in the market for a new one since. I had narrowed it down to 2 options, this exact same Ryobi model and a Pressure-Pro one... In the end, your review allowed me to have a better understanding of how this PW worked and it met all the things that I was looking for so I was able to purchase mine at the local HD today. With proper maintenance I expect it to last me for many years to come. Thanks!

Hello Michael, I apologize for the extremely delayed response. For whatever reason YT does not send me a notification when someone responds to an existing comment. I just happened to come across your comment today by chance. So, a year late in responding but here goes... my pressure washer continues to work great, no issues starting (still one or two pulls at best) and the idle down feature is working as it should. Funny enough, I just used it yesterday for at least 3 hours cleaning cars, house, driveway, etc. If my pressure washer were to have a catastrophic failure today I would go buy another without hesitation. Thank you for stopping by and I apologize again for the delay.

You made an excellent point when starting the unit to release pressure in the water line by pulling the trigger. Javo, hey guy! Hope all is good with you today. Dude, I just put the Ryobi 3300 PSI to the test. This unit is the best ever!!!! I’m so happy I saw your video. It’s everything you said about it. And I followed your set up process as I watched your video. The Ryobi 15 inch surface cleaner is awesome, and works very well with the unit. It cleaned up my driveway thoroughly, clean white. I used the ZEPS driveway and concrete.pressure washer concentrate cleaner. I just poured it in the reservoir, and set the nozzle to soap to lay down a soapy covering over driveway so it will saturate for about 10 minutes. Then came back with the surface cleaner. Then, reset nozzle to 40 to 20 spray, and watched all the grease, dirt, grime, mold, and stains just disappear!!! 😳😃👍🎉🎸🥁🎷🎺 I’m so happy 😀 Tomorrow I’m doing the sides and back of the house. I need more of the ZEP Concrete and Driveway Pressure Washer Cleaner at Home Depot. Plus, I had time to water wash my car. I still need to get the soaper bottle accessory. Thanks again for posting your video Javo! Great!!!

@Fabulous Robert - Hi Robert, all is "Fabulous" with me today - thanks! I'm so glad to hear you really like your new pressure washer. I continue to be impressed with mine. I'll give that driveway cleaner another try, I tried it once and it didn't do well for me but maybe it was "operator error". LOL Sounds like you've been bitten by the pressure washer bug and now your cleaning everything around the house, including the house! Enjoy my man, having your own pressure washer is great and has 1,000's of uses. I'm super glad to hear my video has been able to help you setup your new washer as well. Comments like yours always make my day! You'll love the foam gun, it's a must have IMHO. I really appreciate you stopping by and taking a moment to leave me some feedback - much appreciated!

Javo’s Garage I was going to say, make sure you shake up and mix up the ZEPS cleaner really good before you put it into the reservoir. This is what I do anytime I get a fresh bottle. Also, I noticed your using a different surface cleaner other than Ryobi. I’m not sure if this would make a difference, if you know? And I used a slow but steady movement over the driveway. And no, it’s not “operator error” because I learned from you 😃👍 At first I was going to use Mold Armor, but Ryobi says don’t use anything with bleach. I also considered Purple Power at Walmart as a degreaser. Not really knowing, I stuck with ZEP. It worked for me. I hope it works for you. Today, I’m actually using the washer to clean up the patio deck. I’m using the Zep’s multipurpose solution for this job. The deck needs a good cleaning!!! 😃

These pressures washers are a must to keep things clean for all general use around the house, or anywhere else it’s needed really. Question: Does the unit allow for extended add on’s like a longer hoses in feet and wand extensions for the nozzle? Thanks for posting your video

I don't leave it on all the time because it's just more work to wind it all up again if I'm not using it. Hope that answers your questions. Thanks for stopping by! I forgot to ask. How do you feel about using a Pump Saver? My instruction sheet says to use that? And my dad mentioned I should use a gas that is Low to no methanol. I think because we live in MD and I will store it away in the winter. And someone mentioned that they run the motor without the fuel turned on, so that the gas runs out in the engine to help prevent corrosion? Just curious about your thoughts on these? But again. THANK YOU!!! Your video helped me. I am heading out later today to wash the siding on my house! :)

got the 3100 PSI Ryobi for 85 bucks, wouldn't run with the choke off, bought the new carb, air filter and spark plug on amazon for 18 bucks, 30 minutes of work and the thing runs nice. A 400 dollar machine for a little over 100 bucks all in all. It's a good motor, i like the idle down. Purrs like a kitten when not spraying. I bet the Honda motor will long outlast the pump lol. A lot of these machines on offerup basically being given away because they were stored with ethanol gas inside for a year then the owner can't get it on again, i only use REC 90 gas on my small engines, but not everyone lives a couple blocks from a gas station with that fuel like i do, lucky me, i don't have to worry about letting it sit with gas inside.

My hose water pressure is good but when I pull the trigger the idle in down and there is no pressure it will not work like the first time . Again I only used it for an hour on concrete patio . Is there anything else I should be looking for?

Thanks for this content. I just picked one up and searched for a review of this exact model and about fuel specifically. I hoped to get an expert opinion about what kind of fuel is should used to fill up? Do I need an additive to the fuel? Can I just use premium gasoline? Thanks again for the content. It was really helpful.
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Humberto Herdocia - You're very welcome! I bet you'll really enjoy it. I'm certainly no "expert" on the subject but I can tell you I just use regular unleaded gasoline in mine, no additives. Right now it's really cold here so I opted to drain all the fuel from the unit for storage as opposed to an additive such as Sta-Bil. I think Sta-Bil would be just fine but I just choose to drain it. In the spring I will add some Sea Foam at first just to make sure everything stays nice and clean in the fuel system. Hope that answers your question. BTW - Make sure to pick up a foam gun, you'll be glad you did! Thanks for stopping by!

i was trying to beat a rainstorm coming in to get the bird baths cleaned right after I bought mine ... it cranked on first pull without using the choke (did not know about it). Also, I think the oil is 12 ounces ... so all but two is 10 ounces. (you can prob tell I watched the whole video). Agree that wand holder should be on right side, most folks are right-handed anyway. not sure why instructions say turn knob to off before checking oil ... does that change reading oil level any? Also, should you ever let the engine run out of fuel by shutting off gas supply valve while it's running? I've heard folks say that keeps things from "setting up" and allows carburetor last longer ...

Nice review and covered topics well although I wish you had used the long soap spray mode on the side of a house to help judge how high it might spray the soap. You did mention the second story and I could see how it comes out on long spray but seeing it spray up onto a wall would have helped. Also, you left the long wand on when using the foam gun so was that for expediency and you could use the short gun along with the foam bottle and it would be easier to handle?
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Tim Abbatiello - Thank you for the compliment and the critique Tim. I always appreciate feedback because I then use that to improve future videos. Sorry about the long reach soap mode. I guess my only excuse is I live in a ranch style house so I don't have a second story that I could have used for demonstration purposes. If I would have put a little more thought into it I could have come up with something to show more detail of that feature. In regards to the foam cannon; expediency was definitely the cause. I know my videos tend to go longer than most so I'm always looking to save time while filming. The foam cannon works the same with either the short or long gun so I decided to save time and stick with the one gun. My focus with this video was to review the pressure washer with it's components and spend just a little time on the accessories I believed would help viewers get better results. I'm planning to do a follow up video to this when the weather warms up and I will be going into the accessories in more detail and how they operate. Hopefully that video can solve some unanswered questions from this video. Great ideas for me to use in the future video. I appreciate you stopping by and taking a moment to leave me some valuable feedback - thank you!

@@javosgarage Your video convinced me to buy this unit. It arrived with the air filter saturated with oil and quite a bit of oil in the air filter compartment so now I see why they only have you add 10oz. but they really should drain the unit after testing so this does not happen because these boxes often do not remain upright during shipping and delivery. HD and Ryobi have not made me happy with customer service on this matter so I hope it does not cause any harm and I bought a new air filter already to start. I did notice that there is actually a wand holder on the right side of the handle which is designed to snap the wand into in a vertical position which will help when fueling. I found it while looking for a place to store the nozzle when not in use so that would have been a nice addition. I will be giving it a try here within a couple of weeks if temps get high enough. Once again, thanks for a thorough video and perhaps my comments will help the next purchaser/viewer.

@Tim Abbatiello - I'm really sorry to hear your pressure washer arrived with damage Tim, that's no good at all. I was fortunate to be able to pick mine up locally so this type of issue would be easy to remedy with an exchange. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to wait for your washer to arrive and discover an issue. It's also disappointing to hear that HD or Ryobi haven't been of much help to you. Personally, my local store has always been fantastic with any returns I've had. I've only dealt with Ryobi once (on their power sweeper) and I gotta say they were great. They sent me all the replacement parts I needed with no questions asked and they even paid for the shipping. I would consider trying a different customer service person and possibly an escalation to a manager if need be, a new piece of equipment should not have problems, especially right out of the box. Thanks for the tip on the right side holder. I've never noticed that and will certainly check it out tomorrow. I really appreciate you taking the time to come back here and leave some feedback that can help others - thank you.

@javosgarage Жыл бұрын
Hi Kay, sorry for my delayed response I've been away from YT for a while. There should be an adapter on your foam cannon that goes into the quick connect fitting at the end of your wand. For me, I just remove the spray nozzle from the wand and replace it with the foam cannon. If the foam cannon you have doesn't have that quick connect fitting than it more than likely isn't deigned to handle higher pressures like this washer produces. I hope you were able to get it working because these things are great! Thank you for stopping by and I apologize again for the delay.

Having owned various pressure washers...honda engine pressure washers tend to turn the oil black waaay before the service interval. Probably running too hot and cooking the oil. I have trashed 1 and my neighbor as well in this matter. The oil cooks, viscocity becomes greater and the piston and cylinder get scored/ scratched. Put an hour meter on the pressure washer and change it every 25 hours of use.

Most in-depth review I've seen so far, thank you. I am in the market for a pressure washer and was also thinking about the 3000 psi Model # RY803001. It's about a 80 dollar difference between the two ($370 vs $450). Is the extra 300psi really worth the extra 80 bucks or would the 3000 psi handle everything I need around the house? Just curious on your opinion. Thanks again. Great review!

@javosgarage 4 жыл бұрын
@Jordan - Sorry for the delay, we've been gone for a bit. First off, thank you very much for the compliment, comments like yours always put a big smile on my face! I think the difference in pressure really depends on what you plan to use the pressure washer for. I had a 3,100 psi washer before this one and it did just fine for me. The big thing I noticed was it seems to do the jobs faster now. I could do the same jobs before, it just took longer. If you're trying to stay on a budget and you're looking to use it around your house and cars buy the less expensive pressure washer and spend the money on buying the accessories I mentioned. Those accessories take the pressure washer to a whole new level! You'll thank me. I hope that answers your question. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks for stopping by!

@Robert Verduzo - Tough question Robert. Could it damage the motor? Absolutely. However I would think that Honda uses some type of assembly lube at the factory when the engine is put together. Hopefully, it provided enough lubrication for the motor during that 4 minutes to prevent any damage. If I were to hazard a I guess I would think you'll be just fine. How is the pressure washer holding up? Idle down feature still working? I read reviews for the isle down feature didn’t work after so many months.
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Michael Welker - Hi Michael. My pressure washer is still doing great with no problems. I haven't got to use it for a few weeks as we got caught in that big snow storm (got about 2' at our house) but the weather is supposed to be nice again this weekend so I'll have it out cleaning a motor we're putting in my son's truck (not to mention my truck needs a bath REAL bad). The idle down feature has been working fine with this new one. I do recall having an issue with my last one but it was resolved by taking it apart, cleaning, lubing and putting the idle down valve back together. There's no doubt in my mind the dependability of the pump and it's components (idle down feature for example) greatly depend on the quality of the water going through the unit. If you have hard water or iron issues it will affect the pressure washer just as it does the dish washer, faucets, water heater, etc. Not to mention chlorine dries out seals over time as well. Should you ever have an issue with that feature you can buy that part for replacement. I believe the part number is 310437009. Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for stopping by!

I actually went to Home Depot today looking for a pressure washer and was about to buy this one but needed to do research before I bought it. Would it be good for removing red clay stains from a grey brick house?
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Garrett55 Ls3 - Honestly, I haven't used mine for red clay stains. I think it would really depend on how deep the stain has penetrated the brick. This pressure washer definitely has the power to remove surface items with no problem. You may consider getting the turbo nozzle attachment to give you some extra cleaning power to get in deeper to remove stains. If it were me I would soak it good with soap (such as the general purpose Zep you can get at HD) and then hit it with a turbo nozzle. I hope that helps you a bit. Great video. New sub. Does it have a oil filter? Wonder how it would hold up doing side jobs with it?
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Kyle Woodward - First off, thank you for the compliment and the sub! There is no oil filter on this unit. In regards to your second question the best answer I can give you is only from my personal experience. I believe I use my pressure washer far more than the average person would. I'm constantly using mine, I'd estimate about 5-10 hours per week. So not heavy commercial use but it's getting worked pretty hard. So far, this pressure washer has been working great with no issues and I'm about to the 3 month mark. My last one (the 3,000 psi model) lasted about 3 years. I would give this a "pro-sumer" rating. I certainly wouldn't think of it as a commercial unit but it's high quality enough to be used for lighter duty pro jobs. Hope that helps you a bit. Im confused on Oil capacity also. Quickstart says 10oz. Honda engine manual says 17oz dry engine or 12-13oz on a refill. I actually trust the honda owners manual more than the quickstart, but it makes no sense why they would include a 12oz bottle for a 17oz capacity when it shipped dry in box.

@1971 Dodge challenger 440 six pack - I understand your confusion and wondered the same thing. In the end I went with what Ryobi recommended. No problems and it still runs great with LOTS of use around here. My thought is Ryobi buys those bottles from another manufacturer who labels them for Ryobi and the bottle they make just happens to be a 12 ounce bottle. i wouldn't be surprised if they also use that bottle for Toro, Yard Machine, Troy Bilt, etc. and it's private labeled for them as well.

@@DreaamTeamKing This may sound stupid (and you probably already know this but I'm trying to help) but if you're trying to start it with the water on make sure to pull the trigger and hold it while pulling the start cord. Otherwise, the pump builds up pressure real fast and it makes it nearly impossible to pull start the washer. Also, if I remember correctly the pump is secured to the motor with four fasteners. The turbo nozzle and the 0 degree setting can definitely cause problems if you're not careful, they have high pressure at a fine tip.
