It felt like SKZ really represented themselves as artists at MAMA. It's hard not to feel pride knowing they've experienced a fair amount of hate and difficulty but this year they got to close and open MAMA on different days. I hope they feel proud and recognise their achievements, it really felt like they gave their all. And yes, live SKZ somehow always manages to bring something extra, they really come alive on stage.

It is quite common to hear Chan just howl and do adlibs during performances, especially when you can't even see him to support the others and make the song sound even better.🥰 And the vcr is connected to Oddinary trailer.

Some context: Tiger JK is Korean American and a LEGEND. He's gotta be in his 40s by now. Chan has referenced him in raps before. The piano player is Jung Jaeil, who composed the music for Squid Game. The style here is very poetry slam -verrrrrrrry unexpected. I think everyone expected a very hard-hitting epic performance. But this was subtle and beautiful and so powerful. We've never seen this style of rap from 3racha before and I think it's a testament to their versatility and diversity that they were asked to perform with these two musical giants. The fancams for Venom/Maniac are must watch. There's a clip at the very end of the performance when the camera turns off and you see ALL of them collapse. They threw so much into this and sacrificed their bodies for it. I'm hoping they have plenty of rest before the next award show (which will also be an epic performance). And Chan is the one who primarily does the ad-libs, although it was Jisung who shouted "SPEARB" before Changbin's rap in Maniac.

I swear I've had almost no luck finding fancams. I saw about two seconds of what looked like maybe Seungmin and Hyunjin dropping to the stage, and a few seconds of I.N pulling his own laudable "maniac" performance right behind Hyunjin when Hyunjin was doing his unhinged head-tilt close-up -- and that all I've been able to find. It's so frustrating! Is there a chance you have and could share links to any of the fancams you've seen?

The 3RACHA performance was one that definitely sticks with you. It was almost jarring but in a good way. They seemed so happy during that performance it was so lovely to see 💞. We saw a few clips on twitter recently! The one where they collapse and hug each other at the end was powerful . We hope they get their much deserved rest as well ♥ !

8:37 You gals are correct, this is a Frankenstein taste with a twist: Hyunjin and Felix's relationship on the Oddinary trailer makes people believe that they are more like Harley Quinn and the Joker but they are Frankenstein and his monster. Hyunjin needed a vessel to dominate and since Felix always was feeling "casted out" he became the perfect lonely subject for Hyunjin to bring to life. Hyunjin "destroyed" Felix to bring him back as someone different, stronger and more suceptible to escape the bitter situations, hence he became "oddinary".

The loud "ow" adlibs are usually Changbin or Han. Also, just a fun fact thatany stays have noticed, Han yelled "spearB" before Changbin's part in Maniac and it was amazing 😩 Edit: Hyunjin actually said that during the practice he was in a lot of pain because of the wires but he was so nervous at the actual performance that he didn't even feel it, but then he woke up the next day and he felt like his body was gonna break in two.

This is message I been meaning to let out. 'Me we' by the great Muhammad Ali"_ This was literally a spoken-word-poetry performance. How often do you see that happen in kpop, especially on a stage of this level?! And it is SO HARD to do this, to _be_ the beat themselves on top of a rambling piano. Your sense of timing and rhythm has to be so so so perfect, or the entire thing will fall apart.

3RACHA performance was really beautiful. His passion, that poetic rap, everything that the song itself says. The fact that Chang bin said that "OUR MUSIC WILL CONTINUE TO SAVE YOUR LIFE, I PROMISE" really made me cry a lot because at least in my case Stray Kids appeared in my life at a very difficult moment where I questioned if it was worth it to live. With them I loved music again and resumed a direction in my life that I had completely forgotten. I owe them so much even though they ignore it that this particular presentation gave me a lot to think about. Really I love SKZ with all my Heart.

Hiii again ! It's the return of the long comment let's go ! The first line "do you want to be oddinary?" Was a reference to the trailer of Oddinary ! It's the question that Hyunjin asks to Felix, so the fact that Felix and Hyunjin are the main characters of this performance is logical ! The way Hyunjin came from above was so impressive ! But if you look closely you can clearly see that he seems either to be in pain or to be uncomfortable. The whispered part of Felix has a little bit too much impact..... Fun fact you were beyong shocked with the body roll during the chorus but it's part of the actual choreography ! Venom has a choreography that you can see during concerts and this part has always big reactions from what I saw. The way you reacted to Innie was so funny 😂😂. Like I mean I had the same reaction like what was that Yang Jeongin ? But it was still funny. Also you talked about his facial expressions ! He is actually considered the facial expression king in stray kids ! In the dance break at the end of Venom was it ? The split part ! It acutally reminded stays of something. During the survival show they had a song called School life and in the choreo Hyunjin does a split. So some edits of him in both performances were created after that ! I'm so mad for the camera work ! They did so bad ! Like I was like "oh again a POTD (Poppin of the day, something that was created during Oddinary era so every day we had a poppin of Changbin), it's been a long time" and then they changed angle and we couldn't see anything ! Even at the end the part after the running why didn't they zoom on Minho ! I was happy to have Minho center for a "dance break" but we couldn't see it. I was from another angle that he gave his all for this part because if you didn't know Minho always hold back when dancing but there with the adrenaline, he wasn't holding back and we didn't get the chance to see it. For the ad libs ! The ad libs are always 3racha, that something I appreaciate in their performances. The one you asked was most probably Han but I'm not sure. The one that made me smile in this performance was when either Han or Chan said "spearb" before Changbin's rap ! The running scene ! Many stays actually made a meme out of this. But for me this scene was really beautiful like the way the adrenaline made them sprint this fast ! It was like a teenage movie scene ! But you guessed it, this performance was exhausting for the members, especially Hyunjin. During the performance when he didn't have anything to do, he sat because he was tired. And when it ended he dropped to the floor. Both times Hannie checked on him and at the end him and Changbin hugged Hyunjin. The collab stage ! You have no idea how excited I was ! When they announced it I was beyong shocked. Because I May have not known the both but I knew one thing about Tiger Jk, it's that in Hey day lyrics Chan say "Legendary like Tiger JK " and now he perform with him ? One thing that is sad, it's that in this version of the performance you don't see Jung Jaeil and the orchestra playing the OSTs of Squid game and Parasite. Because Jung Jaeil is the one who composed them. What made some stays quite emotionnal was when Chan said "put your hands up" and everyone did it, you can see many different lightsticks doing it. Because when they first performed in MAMA in 2018 when Chan asked the crowd to do something, they ignored him and they had a Black ocean. And last thing I want to say is that I'm so proud of skz. They were the makns characters of this MAMA. They concluded the first day and they opened the second, they got 3 awards and during other groups performances they often showed skz reactions to the stages. And fun fact each group was supposed to have two lightstick but stray kids got 8, one for each member.

We actually are going to be seeing them in concert next year and I think Venom is on the setlist? We might die 😂 Innie scared both of us 😂! I was not expecting him to come at me like that. I need a warning next time 😭. I always go into these performances expecting to be let down by the camerawork . They NEVER do the performances justice. They don't have dance practice for bsides that often, the only one I can think of are Awkward silence, Get cool, Ta (one of their best choreography), Easy and Domino, so we will most probably don't have a dance practice. They sometimes have dance practice for performances but it's pretty rare. I can only think of their cover for Bang Bang Bang and one of God's menu performance (I think it was AAA)

Yay!! I'm happy you got to react to this!! Also two SKZ videos in one day? We are so spoiled, thank you 🤍 Stray Kids always always always go all out for their year end performances. They were so excited and nervous for the MAMA one especially! This one was very special because they worked so hard AND they got to close the show. As someone who has been there since debut, I cannot express how proud I am. Their first MAMA on their debut year they were first to perform and they were given the black ocean (meaning that the entire audience turned off their lightsticks apart from the few stays who were there) and silent treatment by the audience and it was heartbreaking. So seeing them do something on such a big scale and receive so much love makes me so happy. I'm not gonna lie, I was sobbing for both performances. Also knowing that in 2023 they have sold out concerts in this same venue which fits over 50k people AND that the crowd will be just Stays supporting SKZ... I am very excited for them and so so so proud to call myself a Stay 🤍 Their choreographer who has been working with them for 5 years said that he got emotional for the first time watching them perform. They poured all of their energy into this and we could tell. They all collapsed and hugged each other when the lights turned off. When the award show ended, we got some emotional messages from them on bubble. Han wrote a letter to Stays when he got home saying he got emotional when they finished the performance as he couldn't believe SKZ got to a point where they could receive this much love. Seungmin and I.N also sent messages saying they were emotional afterwards. Hyunjin said he was very nervous so he kept on drinking water before the performance 😅 he said the wires were painful but he couldn't feel anything during the performance because of how nervous he was. The next day his entire body was hurting. They have more performances in late December/early January and you'll see, they never do the same thing. Even the songs change. They do a different arrangement for every performance. I'm so glad you got on this journey with SKZ and I hope you're enjoying it!! They were the MAIN LEADS of MAMA again this year. Their performances are outstanding! One thing they are known for is their rookie spirit and passion that they are still holding on to after 4 years. Their energy…like I felt my heart was gonna pop watching them live. Especially seeing how in 2019 chan was speaking to a black sea and now with a single request everyone raised their light. They deserve being the 2nd to the most famous kpop group b*s…and these moments are but testiment of how far they have come. I felt sooo proud to finally see them at the door of success❤. I love watching their live performances. You guys should check out more, trust me it's worth it. They are amazing, put all their effort into it. And alot of times they try to change it up a bit, like for example here in mama they did kind of like a rock version. Last years mama was Cheese+Thunderous also rock version which was so amazing. Also in 2020 they did Victory Song in Mama which was EPIC. btw for Venom you should check up a close up of their live performances there are a few from their concerts...you will not regret it..

Hi! The "Ahouuuu", it's always Chan who does that... It's a bit his signature haha, I love it! You can watch all the performances from the awards shows, they NEVER do the same thing. Last year they did Thunderous at every award show, but with different arrangements and break dancing. (Christmas vers. Heroes vers. Ancient Korea vers. and New year vers.) They always renew themselves, and give the best of themselves 1000% with each performance.

yeah don't expect the songs to sound like they usually sound in end of the year performances! thunderous has a hero version and a christmas version skskf which are really fun btw and you should watch them whenever you get to listening to noeasy the whole way through! Stray Kids' performance on stage was great, as soon as they turned off the cameras everyone was on the floor, super tired, especially Hyunjin who gives it ALL on stage, to the point that I've seen that dancers don't recommend that level of aggressiveness in your body because it is dangerous. Stray Kids 🔥 improved their performance a lot after KINGDOM, which I recommend you watch, Ateez participated, it's very good and you can see the great control that Stray Kids has over their production🥳🥳🥳 But what bothered me the most was the Camera, they didn't capture the best moments, neither Hyunjin's dance in Venom, nor Changbin's "Popim", even worse the ending where everyone danced as hard as they could 😩

Lemme know if you want, I can give you links.) and I hope with all my heart that JYP will release a dance practice (because I believe they haven't done it everytime for music award shows). Also: I almost forgot: it'd either Jisung or Chan who's doing those "aaohw"-adlibs, probably both of them. The second day opening was also very emotional. First of all; it takes proper guts to perform a spoken word poetry as well known rappers with a jazzy piano (freestyle?) as backing. Two insanely memorable moments: 1. Bang Chan shouting "PUT YOUR HANDS UP" and aaaaaall those lightstick across the whole dome rising. Award season and voting can be wrecking for fans online (mygosh the hate between army and stays has been mindblowing on twt pfjoow), but seeing the best leader (sorry stays be stays haha) pull such a uniting move is power move. Apparently in one of the breaks of the first day channie started waving his lightstick and the whole crowd joined him and from then he on he was called MAMA's papa, too adorable omg. I'm sidetracking, sorry. But yeah, that was the only wideshot I truly appreciated during this MAMA awards. 2. Channie shouting "Legendary like TigerJK". Idunno if you know already, but right before Maxident dropped, 3racha put out a banger called Heyday for SMF (streetmanfighter, dancecrew survival show) and in the chorus Chan raps that line. I believe stays tagged TigerJK on twt and he noticed. Then this collab was announced we were all like: OHMYGOSH they're performing with someone they look up to, we're so proud. Just. That line, knowing that they released their first mixtapes a little over 5 years ago, it feels like it's all come fullcircle. I teared up for real. Excuse the longest comment. Loved the performances. I was first taken aback for a second by the 3Racha one, since it’s so different from the usually very aggressiv tracks. But I came to love it. Also Chans line about the mitochondria reminded me off a guide I’ve seen of skz. Where the creator described Chan (or 3Racha not sure anymore) as the mitochondria of stray kids😂❤

I really appreciated your openness to the poetry of the Jung Jae-il/Tiger JK/3RACHA collab. As others have said here, it was an unexpected performance, but it made the hair on my arms raise even before Chan came in with the English lyrics. I agree with you, we could absolutely understand the emotion without understanding the words - although I am looking forward to full translations coming out so we can appreciate it even more. Love that you caught the morse code straight away - genius on Tiger JK's part as he is emphasizing the use of other forms of language, while still sounding melodic. There's so much to unpack in this collab! It will only improve with re-watches. And can you imagine how excited and proud 3RACHA must have been to be up there on stage with their idols as equals. Yes, hanging from fly wires can be uncomfortable or painful. I did it while belting an entire song every night for the full length of a show run, and I got to the point where parts of my torso were almost pure black from pressure bruising. My back and ribs ached constantly, and my neck wasn't thrilled either. I had those bruises and some of the aches for literally months after the end of the show run. Every time I came down from the fly, I had to reorient my body, and I _definitely_ would not have been able to dance full throttle for another eight minutes or so and cap it off with a sprint. They all killed this, but I give an additional nod to Hyunjin for that extra challenge.

the skz performance was the best to close the mamas the first day and is really meaningful to them to have the chance to be the last performance and close the event, mamas know what they're doing putting skz last, also 3racha opened the second day and is also a big opportunity i'm so proud of them. The camera work was terrible cause there's great things that we losed it because of it, i don't want to see the crowd when skz are dancing like hell and slaying the stage so what made the camera to think about show us the fans and not the artist ? It would have been nice if they hadn't done it during dance breaks or cutting chan when he was singing for example 🤦‍♀i'll look for fancams maybe there's a way to see them better

14:13 As they are the main creators, one of 3racha is almost certainly behind any ad-lib you will hear. Most of the weird random ad-libs during all their live performances belong to Han. He does like 80% of their live ad-libs. But this one looks like done by Chan. It's hard to see clearly at any point tho, and because this was in Japan where recording during concerts is strictly prohibited... We can't really expect fancams
