Interesting video. New building techniques I didn't know were available nowadays

Plastics are derived from petroleum. They often a fire hazard and deform if exposed to high heat. Foams are subject to compression. Life expectancy ranges from fair to excellent.

Good luck putting out a fire with the brickwork and sawdust insulation. The sawdust can smoulder and reignite.

Had the same thoughts as many comments, fire risk, UV and ageing all these subject issues are mostly all ignored until 20-30 yrs down the road when a disaster or problem suddenly happens. There is a reason why generations have used brick and tile construction for longevity. But what do I know

This video is spot on in one area....I've never seen it before, after, or since. I wonder how much of these future construction stuff will/is leaching into the soil and environment. Pave/concrete over everything and then they wonder why there are floods (water has no place to "go"). It's interesting for sure, but the repercussions ? No mentioning of those 👎

yes, and foam houses burn better🤣🤣🤣🤣 and yes foam roads are easily washed away by floods🤣you can understand that our houses in Europe last longer and can withstand most of the weather that nature throws at us😉we don't build houses out of marshmallows, we build them out of stone and concrete, which can withstand most things, from hurricanes to large fires and floods (they only get filled with water if there is a flood), but you can protect the house against that with many things today😉

And more plastic, more plastic pollution.....
@christianhoffman74072 ай бұрын
Just how is it pollution if it is locked up inside a structure? Most of these could probably be made WITH recycled plastic and actually cut down on plastic pollution. All the foam seen here could 100% be made from recycled consumer plastics.
@fernandbaeteman45192 ай бұрын
@@christianhoffman7407 You have a good point there, to some extent. What about all these materials when the building is torn down within a number of years ? OK, if, and only if they use recycled materials.

@@christianhoffman7407 What do you think about the long-term environmental impact of using recycled plastics in construction materials?
@christianhoffman740721 күн бұрын
@@farwindowusa Better recycled materials than brand new materials - of often the same exact thing. You can also see my answer to the other guy fernandbaeteman4519.
@christianhoffman740721 күн бұрын
@@fernandbaeteman4519 What about it? How soon exactly do you expect a building going up in 2025 to be torn down? Something is going into that building and it too will need to be dealt with once the building comes down whether it was a recycled material when it went into the building or not. If at all possible you recycle it again - that is the whole point of a circular economy. We can't just go on making "stuff" to fulfill Western style consumption especially when more and more people globally achieve the means to live that lifestyle.

At first i though this was a serious video of construction methods. I quickly realised it must be tongue in cheek mickey take as every method is an appalling way to build anything.
@adamconroy21462 ай бұрын
Do you know that you said the Spheres for concrete building levels are recyclable and not recycled?. How bout you go and recycle those things right now or maybe givie it a few years, Why Donchta??
@incanada8326 күн бұрын
@adamconroy2146, yeah! Especially when most of recyclable plastics (so the corporations claim it to be) are not recycled because they're not recyclable and end up in landfills, somewhere, in some poor bastard's backyard.

All that foam could be made from recycled plastic. In fact most of the plastic seen here could probably be made from recycled consumer waste. We have the tools and the methods to build affordable housing but for whatever reason we do not utilize them all. The last part of this video felt more like a commercial for various companies. While many of the methods seen here are innovative there were several that were fairly ordinary, like the machine that paint lines on roads or the post hole digger with giant auger. Over all it was good. The very sad thing is there are many who hear eco friendly and reject it out of spite. The reason why is even more ridiculous.

4 minutes in and so far watched a couple of rediculous wall coverings THAT DO NOT allow the walls to breath - so people live in a plastic bags ? Then we have 'wooden bricks' - that were just interlocking ship lap filled with saw dust - FFS one spark and goodnight viena ! What prize idiot(with nil knowledge of construction) put these clips together. Do we really have people and organizations out there who are throwing money at bonkers ideas - being humored by rip off builders all laughing their heads off as they see their bank balances sky rocket. Final clip i had to swiitch of at the next clip showing some knaff gel plaster that was then imprinted with a disney effect stone work finish - an absolute joke - aweful stuff that looks unconvincing and cheap and nasty(but no doubt costs the earth).
