Fun fact : Nehru's ashes were not immersed in one river. Some of the ashes were immersed at allahabad in ganges, some were immersed in Indian ocean in andaman & nicobar islands and the rest were thrown from Airplanes by IAF at 20 different locations. This was nehru's wish as he wanted his ashes to become an indistinguishable part of India.

We are sure that Nehruji was definitely not a villain of India. But we should agree that there were a lot of grace mistakes made by him which have affected us today. In short, I feel that these biographies are a summary of what happened with exclusion of details in the story of why it happened. We feel that Nehruji is being painted as complete black is not because of the blamer but because of our lack of knowledge about Nehruji. As it is obvious that nobody while being critical of someone will start by counting his achievements when the other side is already doing that.

@Conan Detective correct. Also, most people who voted for Patel to be the Congress President did so because Nehru had already been the President for 3 years, Azad for 6 and Patel only once. Patel's health was deteriorating and they wanted to respect his humongous contribution to Quit India movement by electing.
