In india back in the time actors generally had the same look ,they were doing 3 movies in 3 shift( fake beard , moustache for some role because your also playing clean shave man in the same day ) . Now actors take them seriously ( gaining, losing weight , changing looks, Promotion) and i think one of the main reason is like irrfan said in mainstream movies we don't focus on nuance., so it was easy for them to do different roles and with minor changes because it is not like someone in just whole different character ,and the money thing and for actors i should come more on big screen . Dilip kumar was the actor who was Amir throughout his life ,used to do 1,2 movie in a year or some times 1 movie in 2 year ,he chose quality over quantity and only did around 70s movie. Naseeruddin Shah said about dilip he used to 1 movies in a year but came with character and an aura around it and won the hearts of audience by his performances

I'm just gonna say it how it is... it's MORE than about time that SRK experiments with his films, and if he's not ready to experiment, then he may as well hang up his boots. There are far too many opportunities staring him in the face that he simply cannot ignore the way he did at one point in time. He got away with it then, but he cannot get away with it now. I really do hope SRK is taking on a new direction, and I get to see him do something I've never seen him do before. He began his career as a game changer when he played those anti-hero roles, and I fell head over heels for those performances, because he offered something fresh back then. He's a capable actor with so much potential, so I hope he finally explores different genres and roles and is not afraid to take on challenging projects. Here's hoping!🤞🏽
