The regular 4 cylinder CB400 was a Screamer (!) great power rush at high RPMs, handled like a gyroscope. I don't know about this V8, but I give the inventor a lot of credit for tremendous engineering.

There used to be a v8 bike on display at the truck stop in Clearwater Minnesota. I can’t remember for sure but I think it was either a 350 or 327 Chev, a real monster

if I had to vote ...I would say the Honda air cooled V8 is the most well balanced , it looks like it came so from the factory

Yeah! It looks like it was a real factory bike! Doesn't sound like any V8 I've ever heard....not quite a flat plane or cross plane....interesting sound. I'd love to warm it up and rev it.

Idle is way to low, shoud be around 1100rpm, primary chain rattle slap.

Like them all ! I truly appreciate all of the craftsmanship that has been put into evey one of them. But if I have to be honest, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Ford Flathead ! If possible, I would like to know more about the building process of it, and what transmission he has chosen to use in it.

Simca Vadette V8 is just a fancy way of saying Ford Flathead.

@@fredtracy1673 which one? They in many sizes, measured in cubic inches. The smallest is 136ci and the biggest is 337ci.

It was cold, my '77 CB550K knocked like that too. Once warmed up, idling sounds better, trust me!

The engine in the second one is from a Simca Vadette. 8 cylinder, side valve with the centre two exhaust ports siamesed, hence three header pipes per side.
