Jawbox is so fking hardcore i cant even. Also J Robbins is an absolute rock legend and his guitar is sick.

J. Robbins: "There's also a real concern that we may not have a country to tour in, in like 2020"... What did he know?!
@hamupinhere7 ай бұрын
Probably nothing anyone else didn't already know. 2015-2020 were peak Trump-meltdown years, so at any given time, people were melodramatically setting random time-frames for the world to be over.

I'm envious you saw the tour with Tar. I couldn't go for what I now see as a fantastically stupid reason. Just skip class or call out sick at work. Musical experiences are ephemeral and fleeting and that one is one I missed.

Jawbox alone is worth more than my yearly fundraising dues. Love this. They aren't even playing any of my top 5 Jawbox songs and I'm still loving it.

Remember seeing them in Norfolk circa 1992 at a literal hole in the wall club that held a couple dozen people and no real stage. They crushed it, amazing performance. Things actually got a little crazy up front and long story short I ended up getting thrown into their mic stand and almost knocked over their lead singer (in no way on purpose). They didn’t miss a beat, which is remarkable because I’m 6’4. I think it was roughly a year or two later and they were on Conan after they left Dischord. Saw them multiple times, there was always an energy they had live that didn’t quite translate to recording. Great band.
