Josh, Parked mode is needed for using the work stations when you have them installed, you cant use them on the move, it has to be "parked" to use them.

@@Combsstudio Take this with a grain of salt because I don't know what I'm talking about. From a couple minutes of searching, it looks like the actual sound files are in a container file (like a .zip but not actually a zip) that needs some Unity tool to open/change/resave. Instead of that there's a "sounds.xml" file under Data\Config in your install directory and I think you could go through and comment out every Rekt entry but I think that would be pretty manual unless your regex is better than mine, and there seems to be quite a few entries in there. Honestly I think the best/easiest option is just get an existing mod that either removes him or removes his sounds or mutes him. If you search for Rekt on nexusmods there's a "No trader rekt" mod. Haven't tried it but wow that seems like a perfect starting point lol.

You're less likely to get dysentery if you drink from running water. Conversely, you're almost certain to get one if you drink from a stagnant pool. A nice little detail the creator put into the game.

Check the 'installing compopack POIs' instructions. It covers the same process as the mod you are trying to get to work I believe. It has to be loaded into 2 different folders to work properly. Has to be both in the 'random gen' Poi list AND the quest generation lists.

gotta admit i kinda thought the point of this is that you are staying with the car? i.e. finding a place to park and try to survive by it, not leave it to hide in the usual nighttime places leaving the RV to be looted / destroyed etc at night. might be interesting to change the usual playstyle

Think you have to put the RV into park mode to access the internal workstations when you get them. I've just restarted on version 1.2. Thirst is awful. Hardly any murky water, very few animals of any kind and had to buy a cooking pot and got to day 6 and still haven't found one. Loving this series. Thanks Josh xx

Spears were always good. I miss being able to throw them. Use the ole spear machine gun by charging up the throw for 5 spears in your toolbelt them scroll through to chuck em all at once

Your next playthrough should be with the Rebirth mod. You might really enjoy the changes to difficulty it provides, as well as how it makes the burnt biome the actual hardest, rather than the wasteland. You'll get to spend the endgame with Jen!

Baton is still better late game. Spear may ignore armour and potentially make someone bleed it is doesn’t have the stopping power or CC to keep a group from rushing you and just beating you to death. Spear plus parkour is insane because of that reach.

With the more quests mod, i found there is a conflict with UI mods. I was able to get around this be making it load last by adding "zzz_" to the beginning of the mod folder.

I find it odd. After do a batons only you do a Nomad mod with no restrictions on you weapons. This is OP. By level 15 and something like 6 perk points you can have a vehicle with crazy amounts of storage and a some of the workbenches. And you spawned with it. This has somethin like 3-4 times the storage of the 4x4. That is pretty cheaty if you ask me.

The guy who created the mod wanted the rv itself to be your base and that includes horde base so the challenge comes from keeping it alive. Josh may have missed a file for the mod or I have seen a very very similar rv mod that is different from the one Josh is using

Since I got to this series a little late: Yes the gun on the RV 'works' I know there's a way to just turn it into a turret later and I believe it uses its own ammo... don't quote me on the ammo part though I haven't quite reached that point myself. You might not like rifles too much but they are tied to one of your two primary stats... of course that never stops me from buffing my fort or str for autos/shotties. Oh boy, Piggy Bank is worth sooo much cash if you can grab a jail breakers. 4 easy to reach atms early game? Yes PLEASE! Edit: Reminder at Spear Master 3 you have a 60% chance per power attack (hitting anywhere) to 'cripple' (slow) zeds by 30% for 5 *minutes*, when/if you get lvl 5 it's 100% chance to cripple. I have no idea if cripple slow stacks with bleeding slow though, never tested that. Edit 2: Reminder 2 you need to raise Int and Per to learn the stuff for the RV mods, I think 4 and 2 for the first set but it does end up at like 8 and 6 I think (again not quite there yet myself and not currently playing so numbers are likely a little off.

As annoying as Rekt can be, the v1 voice work for trader Joel bothers me more. "I'm no good at this game" 30 seconds later, takes on a feral on day 2 with narry a scratch on him. Well, I guess humility is a virtue :)
