Some of this was good, some contrived. When you mentioned the mayor with the anchors on his suit "with a capitol 'w'". In 1975 "Wanker" was probably only known in England, not America (I first saw Jaws in '75 in England, US air force family living in Cambridge). I came here to learn about more Easter eggs in this movie, learned some possible ones but one you missed was in the opening scene. When Chrissy started running down the beach followed by the drunk guy, you se a picket fence that gets increasingly jagged. This was meant to represent the sharks teeth/ jaws. Eventually you actually see huge shark bite crescents in the fence, clear shark bites. THAT is an Easter egg.

I like the discussion of the films title at the beginning. I hadn't seen the teeth in the W. Great job! How about the allusions to Moby Dick? Quint as Ahab and the sinking of the Orca as the sinking of the Pequad?

Now I was almost certain that you would have said Jonah and the whale! ;) Oh yes, obsession driving him to madness, its all there. I think I saw it mentioned in a Jaws documentary whilst I was researching this video. It was one idea for the Quint's ending, Spielberg was literally going to have him dragged under on a line and drown. I think I prefer the horrific version...
