I got a wart on my foot at age 5 and by the time I was 12 they were all over both my feet. They were very painful and even started deforming some of my toenails. Kids teased me for it and called me "witch". Our primary doctor had tried everything he knew, so I got a referral for laser treatment, which was brand new at that time. I even made it on the news since the warts were so severe and treatment was very successful. Never had any issues since! So glad you are helping this patient.

In the summer of '65, I was well into my 12th year and man did I have a tough, painful planter's wart smack dab in the middle of my left heel. I was barefoot much of the time, and I stepped on many pebbles in our many shared driveways when we neighborhood kids played. My mother was a widow and without health insurance. So I never saw a doctor but I was determined to rid my foot from that damn wart. I'd obtain a pin or needle from my mother's or sister's stash of sewing needles, and I picked at that wart 2 to 3 times daily followed by clipping away at it using fingernail clippers. I don't have a sense of time how long it took to resolve, but by the start of football practice and the fall school year that damn wart disappeared. Wow, that was the darnedest nuisance on my heel that many times caused me to walk on my toes. I am nearly 71 now and I'll never forget how inconveniently painful a plantar wart is.

Love watching you work. I have always been interested in foot care. I am 69 and take care of my feet. I also regularly tended my parents feet. My mum was in her nineties and had lovely soft skin. Nails regularly trimmed and cream applied to the foot by means of massage. I have learnt so much from your tutorials. Thank you and I look forward to watching many more.

Will there be follow-up videos with this patient? I would like to see the treatment process including the blisters and additional applications of medicine. I've seen people undergo freezing treatments that became too painful for them to continue. Is your treatment painful?

I contracted a planters wart at summer camp. It was at the base of my second toe. My mom got the great idea to file it down with a nail file. Did no good and hurt. Finally she asked a friend's mother who was a nurse and she referred me to a dermatologist. He used liquid nitrogen to freeze and treat with some solution. It took four or five treatments and it wasn't as involved as these are.. We were told that the black pinpoints were seeds. Now I know they were broken capillaries. Miss-information as late as 1970.-71.

had a platar wart when I was about 11. Got the top cut off and a dark purple tincture put on it. The Dr gave me a vial of light purple water substance to put on the wart daily. Within a week or so the wart shrank and simply fell out of the hole and the hole healed up. I am 70 now and it never came back

When I was a kid in middle school I developed warts on my left food. It started as one wart and then very quickly turned into clusters of 100s of warts to the point that it looked like one big giant wart that went from my heel, along the side of my foot all the way up to my pinkie toe. It was probably about 1 to 1.5 inches wide and for the most part was not very painful unless I stepped on something like a rock. My parents were very well aware of the problem, but as I recall they just tried home remedies like soaking my feet in water and using a pumice stone to "sand" it off. Nothing ever worked and they eventually spread to my other foot and then to my hand and fingers. At that point I was extremely self conscious about the warts on my hands at school as there were over 20 warts on almost all my fingers and on the palm of my hands. I lived with all of this for at least 3-4 years. My mom tried to freeze the ones on my fingers off with the wart removers from Walmart and they just wouldn't budge. Finally, my mom set up an appointment with a dermatologist and the first thing the doctor did was freeze all of the warts on both my hands and then I had to go back after about a week once they turned purple/black and he then proceeded to cut them all off very carefully. I recall the dermatologist saying it's possible that if he removes the warts on my hands, that it's possible for the human body to somehow recognize the virus and fight off all the warts on my feet. I couldn't understand the concept of that and didn't believe it because it seems too good to be true. Anyways, to my surprise, after a couple months I noticed all the warts on my feet started to retreat and get smaller and smaller and then after many weeks they just completely disappeared and ever since then I have been wart free! Since then I have learned that one of the best natural home remedies is apple cider vinegar because my sister started developing warts on her hands a while back and apple cider vinegar made them completely disappear within a month or two!

I had a tiny wart on my foot that I found when I was in the 4th grade. Showed my dad right away on our Christmas vacation. He said, "we'll have to get that removed when we get home." So, naturally, I never mentioned it again and was careful that he never see it. By the time I was in high school, it was huge, and I started going frequently (every couple weeks, maybe) to the dermatologist. I spent two years going in for really painful cryotherapy every couple weeks. It was right on the ball of my foot, so I spent all that time walking on the outer edge of that foot. Pure misery.

Thank you Dr. I never knew that we could get warts on our feet. It's seems like common sense. But for what ever reason it just never crossed my mind of the possibility. Like I'm a dufus. Lol. I remember having warts on my finger and my hands when I was growing up as a child. I'm the oldest of 10. 7 brothers and 2 sisters. I was a tomboy. Always outside playing in the dirt, the woods, climbing trees, picking up bugs and frogs, hornytoads etc. My mom said that caused my warts. But as I became a teenager I quit doing all that and still the warts came back. We always used Compound W for it. I haven't had any as an adult. I really love watching you help people take care of their feet.

When I was a kid, I had a wart near the center of my left palm, this was when I was in third grade. I remember using my fingernails and pulling out three or four wart roots which looked like single juice cells you’d see from an orange. They were deep and I was bleeding when they all came out. It healed up quick and never came back. Gross I know, but as a little kid, you just did whatever.

hahaha, I had a wart on the top of my second toe, and I remember cutting it with scissors in class, it bled like crazy and everybody was horrified. Just a single orange jiuce cell, and a shrivelled one at that.

Plantar warts can be caused by stress, and once that stress is gone, your plantar warts can disappear. Case in point, when I joined the Army where women were subjected to violence in a male dominated housing unit, I contracted at least 10 plantar warts on my left foot and was treated with dry ice. One month after I left the US Army, every single wart disappeared and it never came back even 40 years later!
