Or maybe he was still just a little kid when he first arrived in the Circus, and going through so much stuff as at such a young age probably messed him up psychologically, or perhaps he was a rotten kid like Mike Teevee from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and liked video games where you could kill people without regrets, and since the gang can't die in the Circus Jax likes to take advantage of that since he knows they'll survive.

You know, this actually sounds possible. Lately, I theorized that he might have Antisocial Personality Disorder, and episode two further proves it. Symptoms include hostility towards others, impulsive behavior, disregard for rules, feelings of superiority, manipulating others, and not accepting responsibility. Those who act like Jax usually have a reason for doing it, and we can only assume it has to do with a very tragic past. For instance, this behavior could have something to do with how he was raised or how other people treated him. Gooseworks said he does not like the farm and can't stand corn, but it is also revealed he has mulch in his overall pocket. So, either this is something to do with his past, like maybe he has some relatives from the countryside, but it could also be something completely random. What I also noticed is the fact that we don't know where he got the keys, and yet, he stole the key Princess Loo gave to Ragatha so that he could give it to the hungry Fudge Monster. Perhaps he was a thief who grew up in a penniless family. Hell, in episode two, his addiction to violence indicates he became a criminal when he became an adult. Still, despite his behavior, maybe the reason he was sad for a split second when Kaufmo's funeral was brought up only to walk off with an angry expression could be because he does care about others but is afraid to show care or thinks it makes him weak.

YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO SAY THIS SINCE I WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE AND WHEN I SAW THE VIDEO HEADLINE I WAS LIKE YEAH FINALLY SOMEONE DID BUT IT WASNT ANYTHING LIKE THIS THEN I SAW THIS COMMENT AND YESS. I think that he might have a beating dad maybe he had aspd too just like jax because the cause of aspd type of behaviour is mostly daddy issues in man. I also think jax has adhd along with aspd. I also think he was a bully but not just typical rich bully in the movies he was not rich at all i think and he was the class clown bully. I also think he had some time in jail and he didnt go to uni. After the 4th episode i also think he was probably working in a fast food place as many can tell. We can always see how he is looking for other peoples reaction, trying to create an image of himself. He is trying to show himself strong most importantly (this also mostly indicates daddy issues because of his dads approval it might be.) I also think he is sadist and i dont think i need to explain this one lmfaoo. Also he doesnt seem to wanting to escape there at all and i think thats because he chooses the circus instead of real world. This might have a lot of reasons such as his dad, him being poor maybe, his job and ordinary life, him having to face consecuenses for example his loneliness i mean he cant be lonely here no matter what he does they always have to be with him in an adventure and they cant just get rid of him but in real world people doesnt have to be around him or he cant just go and hurt anyone, cause chaos without getting punished. I also dont think jax had a mother figure growing up even if he did have a mother he kind of acts like he doesnt have one so she might be unpresent with him but i think his mother left. He maybe doesnt much care about "his friends" in circus and doesnt understand them, their emotions because of aspd but he def want them near him and want him but because ,again in his childhood, he felt unloved and unwanted by the parent figure(s). I think unlike ragatha he didnt have a conditional loving parents, no matter what he did he wasnt loved or accepted by them so he become this way in his social life too but in the circus it doesnt have much results like i said. I have many more guesses about him and also other characters but i forget them while writing so this is all for now lmfaoo OHHH ALSO im not sure if he doesnt care about "his friends" is the right thing to say. He doesnt care about their mental health, emotions and he puts his entertainment above them but for aspd cases these are normal and it doesnt show that they dont care about others. They mostly dont, yes, however there are also some people they care about in their life. It can be some of their friends their moms dads their lovers their kids. People tend to think when someone is a sadist, sociopath it have to as severe as the worst but it mostly isnt that way and thats why we miss out a lot of aspd cases in real life. Jax is one of them. He is not the worst because he is sadistic and sociopath so he might be caring about them at least a little and i think he does. Him getting upset in the kaufmos funeral was i think because he lost a friend but he didnt show up to the funeral because caring for someone and being sad when they are gone or in the end showing this is for weak ones, at least in his mind. So he acts like ,even to himself, he doesnt care about anyone. Thinking they do care is really hard for these kind of people because they actually care a little and they actually think they dont and act so but in very little details you can see they do. Thinking bad of them is easy because they've done awful things but thinking good of them like understanding them is hard unfortunately. In the end he is a loser loner sadist sociopath done awful things to people in real life and in circus because he had a childhood he def wouldnt choose and has a "personality" disorder to cause him have this kind of a personality. Yeah i think thats all except for the ones i forgot and these are all my guesses and analyzes, they dont have to be true but im kinda quite stubborn on them loll.

I think Jax was a farmer.. Let me explain… so Gooseworx said that Jax avoids corn bc there was something in his past life about corn… well some people in Jax past life was bullying Jax and then he goes to the Digital Circus and start to change his identity so that people stop bullying Jax… so that’s my theory (I hope you like it)

This is my theorys Jax was a kid in his life, he didnt have real freinds, and he was maybe abused, but he was happy still. And maybe he just had a traumatic past life until he put a headset on , and got teleported in this world, and he torturers other people with words and actions Or he was just a mental person who didnt have many nice friends and was depressed, and maybe lazy

Sooo, I have a theory. If the avatars that each character is rendered with in the circus is indicative of who they are in their psyche, Jax being a rabbit actually makes a lot of sense. It even backs up your theory of Jax being secretly lonely. Rabbits have a huge need to constantly socialize. This would also explain why he probably enjoys squabbling with Ragatha, bad attention is still attention. Rabbits are very territorial and will show signs of dominance. He challenged Zooble by taking her arm, and lost when she choked him. Rabbits that are in pain will lash out at those around them. Rabbits are ultimately prey animals, so even their best efforts to defend themselves from predators will often prove fruitless.
