This song touched my heart! At 43 im still dealing with body issues. Now its pushed on you that after 40 your too old and when I was young I was I thought I was too fat. You wouldn't catch me in a swimsuit. I now have 2 teenage girls and I always build them up because everyone is beautiful in their own way. She is a great role model for young girls. I remember seeing a picture from the 1920s of female models posing with a Model T, and those models would be considered fat and flat by the standards of the last 40 years (at least). 25 and never really gained weight until I got a 'big girl job' and worked from home. It really fxed up my mental health for a while until I realized the life I had before was actually a lot more unhealthy - Over exercise, eating a few snacks a day, etc. But I'm older, I want to be healthy and have an ACTUAL appetite and a child rearing body. It isn't healthy to not feel hungry bc your stomach is so small. I also realized, in order to build muscle, a bigger bum, etc. A more womanly frame (in my opinion) you have to gain some weight and then you can tone afterwards. Not feeling like eating is an illness/ disorder. Having an appetite means you are healthy. Do not be afraid of going up in clothing sizes because it really is not realistic to maintain a specific weight as your life changes year after year. Stay peaceful and stay healthy.

I barely use tiktok but I opened it up a few weeks ago and this song was the first thing I saw and I was just hoping the story behind it was really real and not made up for clicks. I love it! The message is something every girl needs to hear and and it uses comedy's underestimated strength of making a heavy topic lighter. I have lots of little girls I love in my life (nieces, a daughter, and friend's kids) and I'm glad they'll grow up with this song around. It just feels like one that needed to be made.

As a kid in high school I knew Victoria’s Secret wasn’t about a real person. It was a name of a store that sold women’s underwear. The fact that this woman admits that she thought that Victoria was a real person when she was in high school is a poor reflection on her, not the company. 🙄 She acts like she unlocked the Mayan Code or something. News flash! Women don’t shop at VS because they think “Victoria” started it. They shop there because they like the look of the underwear they sell. When you look into the history of Victorias secret though, the song is incorrect. It was Roy and his wife Gaye. The concept came from him buying his wife lingerie and creating a concept where he could go in somewhere and get assistance in buying lingerie for her. Sadly he eventually killed himself.... THEN it got sold to Wexner. And Wexner himself even wanted classier looks starting in the early 90s. The song is cute and understandable in lingo for a kid, but limiting someone to "an old dude that lives in Ohio", when they've accomplished so much good work and philanthropy In their life isn't the truth.

Growing up I was the Skinny girl. Not because I was trying to, but because of my heart condition. I had a friend who struggled with her weight though. She was always worried that I was anorexic. While I'm not sure that I was (didn't have a problem with liking food, but I had a small appetite), I was nevertheless, skinny. As part of a congenital heart condition, after my Fontan heart surgery - the final stage surgery for those who have a Hypoplastic Left Heart Ventricle (~3/4 of my heart functions, although it feels more like ½ of it functions), I gained quite a bit more appetite. I didn't fully understand my friend and in a lot of ways I won't, but ever since some of my intestines had to be removed (flipped 360° and blocked anything from passing through my system), I've struggled with accepting myself with the shape that I have, knowing what I once had. At one point soon after my surgery for my intestine removal (Cecum, some of my small intestine, and appendix), I looked a little pregnant, even though I wasn't. This wasn't a problem because I was used to telling people about my heart condition. But what got me most is when my Dad was concerned that I could be getting a little fat after dealing with some fluid retention that was related to my heart condition and the back pressure my liver was getting. (This happened years after my bowel surgery.) Thankfully I've had adjustments to meds, but I'll admit, I still wish I could have my old body back. So thank you for making this awesome song! 👍❤️

He actually started this store with his wife, and later killed himself years ago and he made VS because he was always shy to walk into lingerie stores to shop for his wife the way they were set up and spent years studying the market so he created one, stand alone, just like many men have created women's products like make up etc, nothing wrong with that!

The dress I was wearing to my daughter's outdoor wedding was a little too sheer in the sunshine, so I wanted a really nice mini slip to cover my butt and the tops of my thighs so I could at least carry off Mother of the Bride. But it was exactly what I wanted and it eventually fell apart it was so useful.
